Halfway through I noticed that Er Shiqi's actor (Yu Yao) is quite young, I thought he was maybe early 20s, but he's only 18?! He really held his own amidst the more experienced actors in this and did such a great job. Hope he has many more good roles to come! Will always fondly remember our boys Buxiu and Er Shiqi. 🥰

Rewatching this due to LITC and oh man, I forgot how much I hated Suying. She's worse than the villain in this show and many others I've watched too. Just an absolutely vile character.

The mystical marriage ducks were funny in a weird, silly way. Not sure why but it just worked for me and I giggled at them both times. 🤣

She doesn't deserve to have a relationship with either of them, in my humble (still angry at her) opinion. Maybe YEARS down the line if she managed not to do anything else terrible.

Emperor of Zhushui Spiritual State sure had a terrible pack of children, and his whole palace was very grim. Would certainly never go to their house for the holidays. 🤣

I was just thinking over this (from multiple scenes)... No one has any loyalty in these realms? Both Jixing Abyss and Yaoguang Palace ready to instantly throw anyone away even after years of service, basically. And Ming Yi helped protect the whole damn place from a gigantic netherbeast eating people's SOULS! Sheesh. It doesn't make a ton of sense in the end, because why wouldn't you want an extremely powerful warrior who has proven themselves by saving you to join your realm?

A lot of those poor reviews seem to be misunderstandings about how their payment scheme works, the app itself works well for me. To be fair, their micro charges for each part or tier of watching stuff ARE very annoying, but as for functionality it has been fine on PC, Android, and iPhone.

Not too sure how I'm feeling about these last few episodes. 😅 A lot of plot points I would have done differently if it were up to me! But still holding out hope for a satisfying ending. Meanwhile, ALL of the cast had decent chemistry together and I'll be happy to see any of them reunite for other projects.

Sometimes the fun is in discovering how bizarrely wrong the synopsis was! 😂

As the other poster said, it's almost certainly the filters. They are heavily used in some Cdramas and a lot of other media you will see of the actors. They can look very different! Remember too that separate genres of shows will have their own type of makeup styling and it can make people look older, younger, more foxy or demure, etc.

I badly want the BGM tracks for this, the music is giving such a profound and eerie atmosphere to the show.

I almost wasn't going to watch this for fear of too much sadness at some point, but 15 minutes in and I was already hooked. Stunning scenes and costumes, and Luo Yunxi actually makes you feel like he is legitimately a divine being.

Yeah, same for me! His characters tend to have that charming and mischievous aura. Like maybe we shouldn't reeeally root for him, but always kind of want to anyway. 😂 I enjoyed him very much in ADWAD and BFTB.

He looked downright beautiful in some of the close-ups of his face in this one. Very good styling for him all through the show as well.

Not only that, Liu Yuning is constantly all over the place doing concerts, streams, and variety or singing shows. Oh yeah and he also acts in dramas himself. He is one hard-working guy. Or maybe crazy, who knows. 😂

Zhang Tai is a sweet and precious gem, very glad she ended up having spiritual veins and going off on her own to have a seemingly decent life. Her little villa is cute too.
