Five Stars

Episode 5 felt like the calm before the storm. Less drama, more setup—but still plenty of soft chaos to go around.Khanin? Still very much not focused on Emmaly. And he’s not subtle about it. Half princely duties, half lovesick chaos gremlin. Childish at times, yes, but let’s not forget: his real goal isn’t being the prince - it’s finding his adoptive dad and holding onto the people he actually loves. Charan included. And from this point of few... He isn`t on the wrong way... Ramil and Paytai… now that’s a story of it`s own. There’s love there, but under the pressure of expectations (Rachata I talk to you), it’s twisted into something toxic. Ramil clings to control—collars, leashes, power plays - because he’s terrified of losing Paytai. You can see the love, but it’s constantly shaped by power - Ramil wants to own, to keep, to protect in the only way he knows how: total control. Paytai gives in, not because he’s weak, but because he loves back… but he’s given up a lot of himself in this all. It’s devotion, but at a high cost.We also finally meet Net and JJ’s characters - and the royal tournament prep begins! Definitely a set-up episode for what’s coming, but full of soft (and jealous) moments to keep us fed until the next royal drama drop. Ep. 6 can`t come fast enough!!!

Charakter development

Wow, first real date vibes! Khanin wants to see the pearls, and of course Charan can’t say no. They go on this cute little streetfood shopping trip, only to be a bit disappointed—the rare pearl Khanin wanted isn’t there. But Charan takes him home, where his mom’s collection includes that rare pearl color! Surprise—turns out it was on Charan’s wedding ring all along. Not the ring yet for Khanin, but he does get a yellow pearl symbolizing friendship… hey, you can’t have everything right away!Meanwhile, Ramil and Patay are inseparable, scheming to dig up dirt on Khanin’s past. Then we get the first real meeting with Prince Wasin. His loyalties? Still a mystery. He’s secretly meeting all princes except Khanin’s father, but seems friendly with the Assevatevathin faction. Charan hints that Wasin and Menanakerin would benefit a lot if an Assevatevathin sits on the throne. Intriguing…Highlight alert: first archery training! Charan’s all about aiming and shooting, but Khanin? Well, his only target is Charan himself. Classic.Oh, and Grandpa King might be playing matchmaker with Prince Kalvin? Some definitely aren’t happy, though politically it kinda makes sense—a prince from a neighboring kingdom and all. Still, that meeting was pretty mysterious. Then a visit to Ava with Ramil… what could possibly go wrong? (Sarcasm intended.) Charan tagging along.Khanin and the rest goes all out at royal-style clubbing. If Kahnins plan was to get info by getting others drunk, that totally backfired once he started dancing and pulled Charan in. Patay, intentionally or not, makes Ramil jealous enough to take action. Poor Kalvin’s left alone, definitely not a party guy, and ends up drinking cocktails by himself.Back to a rainy scene—more about Charan’s trauma surfaces. He has a full panic attack, poor thing, but Khanin’s there to care for him. We learn Charan’s story is similar to Khanin’s—his mother left and never came back, unable to return. What exactly happened is still unclear, and it’s uncertain if Charan even fully understands it, but it clearly left a deep impact. Khanin stands by him, and the episode ends with a kiss. Charan and Khanin for the win!Khanin, especially, is really starting to show what’s truly inside him—not just childish and a little annoying, but deeply hurt and searching for the stability only Charan can offer right now. He’s not just taking from Charan, he’s giving back too, but what he really needs is that emotional connection. The acting from everyone this episode was amazing. The details in the different scenes are a dream. And that’s it! I seriously can’t get enough and I’m already counting down to next week!

Watch out for spoilers!

Episode 4 and I am absolutely not okay ...It’s royal ball time—music? stunning. setting? flawless. Khanin casually flexing 6(?) languages, playing piano AND singing?? In a full-on coronation outfit with crown and cape?? A little much… but honestly, who am I to judge royalty. But then the drama: Khanin gets jealous when Charan dances with someone else (he was asked and didn`t activly search for a partner... but he also didn’t say no) so what does Khanin do? He straight-up swaps partners mid-dance. Iconic chaos.Khanin barely has time to breathe before things escalate again: a meeting with the House of Bhuchongpisut, an adventure with Ramil (who casually abandons him in a cave??), and then Charan has to come save him (again). And just when you think it can’t get darker… Prince Rachata (Ramil’s dad) punishes both Ramil and his companion Paytai with a riding crop? Yes. That happened. Psycho behavior. Meanwhile, Grandpa King is watching all this from the shadows like the royal puppet master he is—and he does not like how close Khanin and Charan are getting. So what does he do? Sends Charan back to the arts academy. Classic. At this point, the only character I trust is Chakri—the butler. He’s out here doing his best for Khanin...All in all each episonde gets better! The acting from everyone is top form!

May contain spoilers!

Episode 3 and I’m both emotional and mildly furious. So let me get this straight: there’s a body. No clear ID. Still a chance Khanin’s adoptive father might be alive.Grandpa King: “Anyway, let’s stop the search and just tell him he’s dead. He’ll focus better that way.”Oh sure, what a great motivational tool - emotional devastation! 👏🙃And Khanin? That boy cries - heartbreakingly - and then pulls himself together and decides to join a royal tournament that literally determines the next prince/king. Not for glory. Not because he’s ready. But because he’s hurt, angry, and has no other way to take back some control. It’s tragic. It’s powerful. It’s also insane that the most emotionally stable person in this palace is the traumatized teenager. And perhaps the soon to be bodyguard, who battels himself to defy the King for Khanins sake...Khanin deserves honesty. He deserves answers. And he definitely deserves better than emotional manipulation disguised as leadership. The actors are all brilliant!

Episode 2 is done—and it just keeps getting better! The writing, the pacing, the tension—it’s all so well done. I especially love the passive-aggressive dynamic between Ava and Ramil. Every line between them feels like it’s hiding a dagger, and I live for it.Nu/Khanin continues to shine—his performance is layered, charismatic, and completely natural. What really impressed me this time is that Khanin, the character, actually has to act within the story—and Nu pulls that off flawlessly. It’s not easy to play someone who’s pretending to be someone else, but he does it with so much nuance and presence. You believe every second of it.Then there’s Zee/Charan. He’s still reserved and controlled, but in this episode, we get to see a slightly more open side of him—and that makes him even more intriguing. He doesn’t say much, but what he does say hits hard. His expressions are subtle but full of meaning. And that rain flashback? I need to know what that was about. There’s clearly more going on under the surface, and I’m dying to see it unfold.Only two episodes in, and I’m already deep in. Can’t wait for more!

Watched episode 1 of The Next Prince and I’m officially hooked. The soundtrack is stunning, the camera angles are on another level, and Nu? His English is not just fluent—it’s smooth, confident, and somehow ridiculously attractive. He brings such a natural charm to every scene, it’s impossible not to watch him. And then there’s Zee—cool, distant, emotionally unreadable… and somehow that just makes him even more intense. He’s got that “I feel nothing but look amazing doing it” energy.
