If I won the lottery, I wouldn't tell anyone. But there would be signs. (I would fund the production of season…
Then I hope you win the lottery. And if I ever do, I’ll do the same — fund all the BLs that were supposed to get a season 2 but we got cheated out of (Stay With Me 😭).
Then I’d fund all the Chinese BLs we were supposed to get since 2019 (Winner Is King, Immortality, and so many more) 😭😭
Agree. I couldn't even feel the "love" he has for Jeong Wu. Though, the last episode saved that character for me. He was less annoying. At least, the kisses were good here, not the usual dead fish.
Viki is even cheaper... And Youtube membership is yet cheaper than Viki. Plus with Viki and Gaga you get access…
Usually, if I don't have the money, I want until the whole series is out then subscribe to YT premium for 1 month. That's cheap and help support the series!😁
ngl I liked this wayyyy more than I expected. Although I really didn't like Ming or Sol as a LI for Joe, and I…
"I wish that Ming could have gotten just an ounce of character development," Did we watch the same series? What do you mean by that? Ming definitely had character development — not perfect, but it was clearly there, especially toward the end.
im alone screaming in the void, i know buti really dont like Sol!!!he is a self serving liar that is too busy…
OMG YES!!! Finally, someone said it!!!
Everyone keeps praising Sol, but I don’t think he’s any better than Ming. He feels like the typical “nice guy” trope — there to highlight the ML’s flaws and make himself look like the better choice.
But in reality, his intentions aren’t that pure. He wants Joe for himself and keeps getting in the way between Ming and Joe.
He doesn’t really let them communicate properly and tends to step in right when they’re about to clear things up.
Honestly, without that, a lot of this could have been resolved much sooner.
I’m currently on episode 7. Everyone keeps saying Ming is the worst, but honestly, Tong feels worse to me. Maybe it’s just me, but sometimes he comes off like that a**hole who’s dating someone (May), knows someone else is in love with him (Ming), and still keeps him around as a backup — even while in a relationship.
That’s why, every time he sees him getting close to someone else, he tries to separate them.
I’m halfway through episode 2 & I’m really wondering if Joe & Ming are supposed to be the leads. Ming…
I’m currently watching episode 2. I don’t know what’s coming yet, but I remember dropping the novel it’s based on years ago because of "Ming".
My only hope is that the series will be less toxic than the novel.
Honestly, I’m only watching this because I’m in the mood for some toxicity (I just finished ABO Desire and To My Shore back-to-back). Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t have picked it up.
You really have to be in the right mood for this kind of story — especially after watching too many green flags…
I've seen several comments saying that if the rating is so low it's because people can't stand that it's not a…
In my case, I was actually disappointed that the sister survived. That’s when I started losing interest in the plot. I just couldn’t take the story seriously anymore.
There was such a strong build-up around her death and the whole revenge arc… and then suddenly she’s alive and living with the main characters. It completely broke the tension for me.
Also, I’m used to Korean thrillers — they’re my favorite, and they’re often so well done. So the thriller aspect here just didn’t feel very thrilling.
this is not a BL, worse - that is one of the longest BL teasers I've seen, along with Spirealm, killer and healer…
"this is not a BL, worse - that is one of the longest BL teasers I've seen, along with Spirealm, killer and healer etc."
Don’t put this drama in the same category as The Spirealm or Killer and Healer. They’re not comparable. Those are Chinese dramas — censorship is part of the industry. Since around 2017, most BL adaptations have been heavily censored, rewritten into bromance, or even turned into straight narratives. Viewers go in expecting that.
This, however, is a Japanese series. Japan has released plenty of actual BL dramas, with clear romance, kissing, and more. Worse, this one was teased as a BL from day one — starting with the very first trailer. Naturally, people expected a BL. That’s what makes it so frustrating. It’s not censorship — it’s misleading marketing.
Honestly, that makes it far more disappointing than any censored Chinese BL. I don’t even feel like rewatching it.
Okay, I watched it to the end and I stand by my previous opinion that the characters lacked chemistry and the…
Have you watched To my shore? Both characters are equal in intelligence. Well ML is a schemer & manipulator, but after MC learns the truth, he doesn't forgive him easily. Plus the acting of both actors is phenomenal!!!!
There is also Sammy's children's day. The "top" is "the weak one", but still intelligent. While the "bottom" is a psycho gangster.
Then I’d fund all the Chinese BLs we were supposed to get since 2019 (Winner Is King, Immortality, and so many more) 😭😭

Anyway I lost my trust into BL production company since 2016, after what happened to Addicted😒😭
But the wife was sent back to hometown"
So basically: “Mission accomplished — everyone is sure I’m straight. Now let’s live happily ever separately.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣

However they had to cut a lot of scenes (kisses and more) because of censorship.

But somewhere along the way, it just… disappeared.
Like a candle being blown out.
Pouf. Nothing.
