Those are not parents in my opinion. They are bio material donors. I don’t understand how they can dump their own child. Of course it must hurt a lot for a child! I really felt for Taichi. I didn’t read the manga either, so I just hope that Kouhei and his mom will make a good family for Taichi 🥰

Even though I know it happens I still can’t wrap my mind around it. In my personal experience, all my friends and relatives who had divorced parents stayed with one of their parent - mostly, mom. It wasn’t easy, and their grandparents would help a lot, but still they were staying with their mother. If she got remarried - again, wasn’t easy, but there was no question about her child leaving her.
I do know Taichi’s situation is not unique unfortunately, I just haven’t seen it played out in my life (maybe I’m just lucky). So it makes it harder for me to not go strangle his parents 🤷‍♀️

Yes, I figured both parents are totally worthless and I feel for Taichi and his grandpa. It must be hard for grandpa to realize that his child (Taich’s mom or dad) is a scum.
I just don’t understand logically, even if we set all emotions aside - if you don’t have energy for 1 child, how would you have it for 2 kids? Was his mom THAT desperate to remarry? 🤦‍♀️

Very interesting show, totally different format from other dating shows (as it should be). I was not expecting the panel of commentators, but it kind of grew on me ☺️
A whole month to live together is plenty of time to let the guys show their true colors. I also liked that the producers respected people’s obligations outside the show and let them leave the house for some periods of time.
I think Shun and Dai might work out in the end if both make an effort, but it would be easier for Shun to be in a relationship with an older, stable and experienced partner who could clearly see what Shun needs and keep him reassured, giving him lots of love and balance in life.
I am also interested to see everyone’s stories and wish them all the best! ☺️

One of the characters (maybe Vee) says that Connor was also paying for his guy, like Rak bought himself a guy. And Rak responds that Connor bought himself a wife (or something along those lines), meaning that Rak’s situation with Mut is not that serious.

I found the first chapter in English, so I can see that this island is where Type’s family lives, and Connor visited it and fell in love with Khom, Type’s friend who Type was apologizing to for treating him like crap because Khom came out to him as gay. So I remember Type’s father mentioned a foreigner who paid dowry for a neighbor boy, so maybe Connor wasn’t literally paying for sex, but instead just paid the dowry. I couldn’t find the full book on amazon, so I don’t know.
And Khom was also Mut’s friend who met Connor substituting for Mut. That’s how they are connected with Type/Tharn universe and with each other.

I think you’re right and she is a great friend for that! I normally just go for faster solutions, such as simply saying to his dad that Peak ran away, obviously he doesn’t love me, and it’s ok since I don’t love him either. With this, I would never out him, that would be just a low thing to do. But I would save my time and effort and go live my life 😉

It’s just to me personally it’s a much bigger burden to go through all the motions to make Peak do stuff 😂I just value my time too much I guess 😂I would want to shake off the engagement and live my life as soon as possible, and Peak can figure it out on his own when he has time and desire to do so 🤷‍♀️😉

I really don’t understand why Jane can’t cancel the engagement herself? Why waste time and energy on finding her “fiancé”, going there, trying to convince him to come home… way too much effort to me.
I might be misunderstanding something here, but even it was my best friend who ran away from our engagement - I would make sure I am free from him the very next day 😂Especially that I don’t see any love lost from Jane towards Peak 🤷‍♀️

I know you didn’t say anything about sexual assault. I was speaking about a possibility of a plot going there and that I personally wouldn’t like that. I also know that the definition of SA varies here widely. I’m not a fan of entering sexual relationship under pressure, honestly, but in the end it’s a decision a character makes. It’s a grey area for me, but it has a chance of growing into something nice. Brutal attack and rape is out of question for me. I don’t understand the trope “from rape to lovers” at all and try to avoid it if I can.
I think you’re right that Que’s “job description” has a paragraph or two about serving the boss in bed. I just hope that they do it right and give us a hot couple and not a messy humiliating situation 🤷‍♀️
