I wish Asian artists had as much personal freedom as everyone. I don’t know if and when that time comes, but I am glad that their shows place this unfair practice on full display. When Kang tells Moo that he has now lots of fans loving him unconditionally, it really irked me - if they loved him “unconditionally”, they would be happy for Moo’s happiness. So if Moo has to hide it from them - it’s not really unconditional love, is it now? 🤷‍♀️

The way Tong went into a stupor when Mut disappeared might be caused by something in his past. So I will just give Tong’s reaction a benefit of doubt and won’t consider it as a strangly directed scene for now.
I am not quite sure what to make out of Mut’s character yet - is he a nice fuckboy/gigolo? I mean, his little bro was pitching him like a pro 😂and Mut himself was offering “more than a guide” services, but he could be just flirting with a guy he liked.
Tong seems to be a regular spoiled neurotic city babe so far. I guess we’ll see 🤷‍♀️

I started reading it but people here say it’s much worse than the series, and I’m frustrated with the series enough, so I dropped the novel. Granted, I haven’t read much yet.

You mean in DBK? At first it did look like Gawin’s character was a top, but closer to the end they were openly discussing who will be “doing” who that night, and it seemed like a normal everyday discussion for them, so I was glad to see a different dynamic.

I could never understand that “bottom is just like a woman” thing. Why is it so hard to understand that preferred position in bed has absolutely nothing to do with the masculinity of a guy 🤦‍♀️To be fare, I also dislike when females are portrayed as always avoiding physical contact, and I see the parallel between portraying women and “bottom” gay men, which drives me up the wall. Like why wouldn’t Cher let his established boyfriend just give him a casual kiss? 🤨

I did think that Yak’s affection for Dee is totally different from the way he sees the girl. While he can’t take his hands off of Dee and displays all sorts of sexual tension with him, Yak’s affection for the girl looks more platonic to me. It signals more of an admiration and gratitude to her. So yes, it was weird to see such a discrepancy in a supposedly bisexual man. And I agree, I couldn’t feel any jealousy because of it, while Yak going after another guy would make a huge difference.

Oh well, I guess we have to hope to see more natural relationships in BLs. Actually, I think one of the very first “verse” relationships was portrayed in Dark Blue Kiss between Pond’s and Gawin’s characters. It looked very natural and fresh to me.
