Did anyone else never see the scene in the ending credits where Kim is running after Kamol while he's taking off…
I was just thinking the same. It was probably a teaser filmed based on earlier version of the script to lure the audience. That’s ok, ‘cause I was really breaking my head over a reason for Kamol to go with Cherry on a trip 🤷♀️ Thankfully, it never happened 🤩
It was from when his uncle threw soup at him, but your point stands. A small amount of hot liquid hurled through…
Actually, I meant hetero Korean dramas with camera angles and closed lips just barely pressed together, at the very end of the show 😂 First time I saw it I figured they like their stuff squeaky clean! Compared to that, Korean BLs are really rocking! 🤩
damn, i thought the dad's death would be more dramatic. I didn't think it would be 'he fell in the bathroom' lmao.
In dramas we are used to all the, well, dramatic effects, but this show is very much down to earth. This scenario does happen in real life, and believe me, it’s not less traumatic to the family than any other way of losing a loved one. If anything, it’s more confusing and maddening, especially for the kids, since their parent was fine and all of a sudden is not there. So, a sad topic, but I do respect the writers for bringing this into the show.
I really hope they used a wrong word during translation. 🙏
Absolutely! Sometimes, a translator who isn’t fluent in a particular topic might assume that the word they use is just a nuance, but it inadvertently changes the whole point of the conversation. Granted, the whole BDSM theme here is a flop, but I agree with you that the show severely misrepresents the whole relationship the characters would have in real life, and I am not even an expert in the topic! The way the show presents it, it’s just not safe. Thank you for bringing up the “rules of engagement” 🙏
this BL was meh......but u will definitely find worse than this xd
To me, it takes the top prize for incoherent plot (or absence of such), dragged out scenes, senseless jumping from one thing to another. And I am not even an expert! I liked the actors and I hope to see them in other, better thought through shows. I also love Peak as an actor, here he was a director at only 21 or so. I wish him all the best and hope to see his works when he gains more knowledge and life experience.
There are things that I agree with you and things that I don't. For example I agree that it is taking too much…
Actually, it’s not different from what I said 😊 with a character like dom uke you can produce various types of stories it can be comedic or redeeming, or thrilling, or whatever else comes to mind. So, if you automatically thought “comedy” - great, it’s one of many possible scenarios 🤩 See, that’s why I am all for different people=different stories 😊 Since Eiw seems to have a huge development arc in the future (according to people who read the novel) I think there’s still a surprise to come, especially that right now the boys are very young. For me, the predictability of their current relationship was perfectly in line with real life (as I mentioned before), so it was actually a strength. By the way, if they were a hetero couple, both families would be ecstatic if their relationship went to the romantic level with intent to marry. Here, unfortunately, nobody would happily welcome their relationship, so of course Eiw is having a legitimate meltdown, which Earth showed so well.
Also, I loved Y destiny, and Max/Nat couple was one of my favorite since they finally let an uke drive the events. Was it a bit overboard? Maybe, but it was really good for me as I loved this very different dynamic! They also hinted at a verse couple there, characters and stories were different - it was an absolute heaven for me 🤩

That would be great! I will be very happy to see that growth. I guess once Eiw’s “comfort person” is gone he’ll have to change, and I hope he’ll enjoy the process and the result. By the way, I don’t judge him either way, he’s too young yet. I like his character and I’m glad he’ll be given a good development arc, thank you for the info! 🙏

I agree that when BL writers present an uke as this fragile flower ALL THE TIME, in ALL series - it’s absurd, irritating and boring. While I am perfectly fine with this dynamic once in a while, I do like to see different couples with different stories. They could be a verse couple, or a dominant uke - that would be interesting. And body types / mannerisms should also be represented on a wider scale as they also make for a variety of possible stories. Just my opinion ☺️
I would also love to see Cake’s pov, and maybe we will later 😻Just wanted to mention about Cake’s shifting…
I agree that BLs are hardly a golden standard of anything, let alone relationships - it’s like trying to logically follow any Disney princesses movies. Eventually, you just go “yeah, ok” and keep watching for their aesthetics. Although, while we cringe at bad screenwriting, life says:”Hold my beer” and presents us with stuff even those screenwriters would cringe at 😉 Anyway, while I understand your point about super fragile nagging guy being annoying, I think it takes both nature and nurture for this dynamic to work, and when those two factors happily collide - it does work. Like uou said - seme wants his partner to be a dying swan (nature), and he’s taught exactly how to treat such a partner (nurture). Same goes for the “swan” partner - he is very comfortable in his “permanently dying” position (nature) and he’s encouraged by the seme and his family to behave like that and easily manipulates his “protector” (nurture). Again, those unions can be very happy and partners thoroughly enjoy each other and their roles. Sorry for rambling - I’m also definitely older than those boys and definitely no mother Theresa, but I’ve seen that stuff working. While this dynamic is not for me, I just acknowledge it, and to each their own! 🥂
Hmm. This is a tough one. It's refreshing to see a BL with realism - the terrible pain and lonliness Seeiw lives…
I would also love to see Cake’s pov, and maybe we will later 😻 Just wanted to mention about Cake’s shifting personality from a playful boy to a protective adult - I have seen this happen in real life. It happens when children are very close both in age (since birth) and as friends, especially as a result of parents being close friends. When one of the kids is more fragile and another one is a natural protector, it’s super easy for parents to literally indoctrinate them into “A is smaller/weaker/sickly, so B has to protect A at all cost”. When this mantra is repeated day in and day out, you get exactly the situation with Cake and Siew - both are eagerly participating in the screenplay written by parents since their birth. I am not saying it’s good, bad or in between. I am saying that it happens, so I was very ready for this relationship to be presented the way it is.
fuck me I just love this show its chefs kiss, the "almost fall" and "accidental kiss" could be cringey to some…
Yes! Here, I think, these tropes looked so much better because of their body positions - the angles were natural, unlike in other dramas, where pro tango dancers and acrobats would be put to shame. Just my opinion 😉
Looks like Takara is feeling everything just fine, but has issues expressing his feelings. In fact, he’s feeling…
Absolutely! I’m hoping for a nice arc for him where he learns from Amagi to be more relaxed and expressive. It’s still early in the series and they have time for that. 😊
Long time no see - Korea
Because of you - Korea
History 3: Trapped - Taiwan
Kei x Yaku - Japan
