I understand now what it was supposed to be, but I just don’t like this kind of joke in front of others when she’s the reason for for him being the butt of the joke. So, to me - it’s not so much a joke itself (although not the funniest one) as the situation and person it was used against. I’ve heard something like this in Thai BLs, but it was said between lovers while both are laughing and being ALONE. They were laughing with each other, not at someone in front of others (grandma also laughing makes it even worse for me, sorry 😅). Anyway, it could be just me being overprotective towards a person (or a character) I like 😉

You’re probably right since you definitely have experience with the culture :) I understand being snarky with people close to you in a joking way, and I’ve done it myself, but not like this. I guess this particular joke in this particular situation doesn’t sit right with me, that’s all. Thank you for letting me know, though, that it’s a rather popular joke! It does make me feel a bit better since I do like Pam and was a bit shocked with that remark of hers. 🙏
I don't know. I thought he would make a nice toy for the cats... or a snack. Doesn't matter to me either way.…
I like Danil as he makes sense as an ex-boyfriend character in a BL context waaay more than Cherry 😉 He’s cute and bitchy - perfect ex! With all that - he still tried to save Kim which is a good karma for him 😻

Yes, it’s a bromance the way they filmed it, unfortunately. But I could feel “the feels” as the original is a BL. You’ve probably seen Golden Blood and Triage :) I also liked Rak Diao, it’s more of rom com, though… Unfortunately, some other BLs that were supposed to be about more mature characters honestly disappointed me, so I’m not recommending them :)
Idk how Shin does it… im only watching and its painful. I wouldve walked away from Akira 2 episodes ago
2 episodes ago? You’re so patient! Don’t forget that boy has been in love with Akira for 10 years, and now he’s being friendzoned for another year or so. I would go for Asuka instead like 6 episodes ago 😻😂
Ok, so who could we recommend for Danil? We need someone who would love him, keep him occupied and appreciate his mischievous sass. So far, I can see Joss’s character from “3 will be free” - he could definitely handle Danil’s antics 😂
Did anyone else never see the scene in the ending credits where Kim is running after Kamol while he's taking off…
I was just thinking the same. It was probably a teaser filmed based on earlier version of the script to lure the audience. That’s ok, ‘cause I was really breaking my head over a reason for Kamol to go with Cherry on a trip 🤷♀️ Thankfully, it never happened 🤩
It was from when his uncle threw soup at him, but your point stands. A small amount of hot liquid hurled through…
Actually, I meant hetero Korean dramas with camera angles and closed lips just barely pressed together, at the very end of the show 😂 First time I saw it I figured they like their stuff squeaky clean! Compared to that, Korean BLs are really rocking! 🤩
damn, i thought the dad's death would be more dramatic. I didn't think it would be 'he fell in the bathroom' lmao.
In dramas we are used to all the, well, dramatic effects, but this show is very much down to earth. This scenario does happen in real life, and believe me, it’s not less traumatic to the family than any other way of losing a loved one. If anything, it’s more confusing and maddening, especially for the kids, since their parent was fine and all of a sudden is not there. So, a sad topic, but I do respect the writers for bringing this into the show.
I really hope they used a wrong word during translation. 🙏
Absolutely! Sometimes, a translator who isn’t fluent in a particular topic might assume that the word they use is just a nuance, but it inadvertently changes the whole point of the conversation. Granted, the whole BDSM theme here is a flop, but I agree with you that the show severely misrepresents the whole relationship the characters would have in real life, and I am not even an expert in the topic! The way the show presents it, it’s just not safe. Thank you for bringing up the “rules of engagement” 🙏
this BL was meh......but u will definitely find worse than this xd
To me, it takes the top prize for incoherent plot (or absence of such), dragged out scenes, senseless jumping from one thing to another. And I am not even an expert! I liked the actors and I hope to see them in other, better thought through shows. I also love Peak as an actor, here he was a director at only 21 or so. I wish him all the best and hope to see his works when he gains more knowledge and life experience.
There are things that I agree with you and things that I don't. For example I agree that it is taking too much…
Actually, it’s not different from what I said 😊 with a character like dom uke you can produce various types of stories it can be comedic or redeeming, or thrilling, or whatever else comes to mind. So, if you automatically thought “comedy” - great, it’s one of many possible scenarios 🤩 See, that’s why I am all for different people=different stories 😊 Since Eiw seems to have a huge development arc in the future (according to people who read the novel) I think there’s still a surprise to come, especially that right now the boys are very young. For me, the predictability of their current relationship was perfectly in line with real life (as I mentioned before), so it was actually a strength. By the way, if they were a hetero couple, both families would be ecstatic if their relationship went to the romantic level with intent to marry. Here, unfortunately, nobody would happily welcome their relationship, so of course Eiw is having a legitimate meltdown, which Earth showed so well.
Also, I loved Y destiny, and Max/Nat couple was one of my favorite since they finally let an uke drive the events. Was it a bit overboard? Maybe, but it was really good for me as I loved this very different dynamic! They also hinted at a verse couple there, characters and stories were different - it was an absolute heaven for me 🤩
