I’m not sure about that - the Shrew really wasn’t that interested in Petruchio and had no choice but get married to him. Honestly, I don’t like the topic and the methods in the story as the girl was left with no choice but to submit. At that time, in that society - where would she go even if she decided to leave her husband? So to me - she’s a survivor, doing what she has to do. Of course, I’m talking about a real life scenario, as Shakespear presented it as a comedy with happy end for everyone. Just my opinion :)

Thank you :) As for the nicely done (filmed) NC scene, I already commented below that Rain doesn’t seem ready to go all the way yet and to me it feels pressured, especially for his first time.

Don’t quote me on this, but from what I heard, the “ancestors” of BLs we are discussing had both guys totally “straight”, turned into “gay just for you” 🤣
Compared to that, these baby BLs are so down to earth! 😂

True, but then again - it’s an “older” generation of BL. See, that’s how young BLs are! 😂 I would love to see them in a BL more true to life, even though I fully understand that BLs are nothing like “true life” as they are a mix of Disney and p*rnhub 😂

Also, it would momentarily drive me out of a relationship if someone required me to “prove” anything. At the same time, I would never want my partner to prove anything either. Where “proofs” start, partnership ends - for me, of course.
Now, it’s ok to talk about my expectations from my partner, but without “you have to prove yourself”. To me, it should be just a calm declaration of what I need, and leave it at that. If the other person wants to adhere to my needs - great. If not - he’ll just “disembark” my boat, and it’s fine. Same is valid for his needs/my response. Again, that’s how I work, not necessarily how everyone should work 😉

I must’ve missed it too. I really liked Max Tul’s chemistry in all their series - to me, they are a golden standard of “sizzling”, and not just in BL 🤩

To each their own - if you are fine with a partner who forces you into doing what he wants (even if the end result is good) it’s OK, but I am not. Maybe it’s because I am a control freak and I take making my own decisions very seriously ☺️ All people are different with different needs, and again - it’s fine. I am talking from my perspective.

To me, it’s not about what Payu wants to get as an end result (Rain doing his homework - ok, very noble). It’s about HOW he’s doing it. He’s basically training Rain like a dog - do as I say and I will like you. Well, what if he doesn’t? Payu will withdraw his feelings forever? That’s a bad manipulation as he doesn’t trust Rain to make a sensible decision (do the damn homework) on his own. Even talking to Rain without threatening him with “no love for you” would be great. Rain is a young boy who adores Payu and ready to do whatever it takes to please him (literally). Payu should be teaching him to make an effort in life for himself, on his own volition instead of doing it for someone - it’s just not healthy for Rain.

Exactly. I think BL as a genre is still very young and has a lot of growing up to do. So many opportunities - I wish it was less dependent on sponsors and tried and tired tropes. But I guess, baby steps 😊

I totally agree with you, and although we got a pretty decent scene, I had a feeling that Rain wasn’t ready for this rapid development at all. He looked like a deer in a headlight and seemed to go with it just to please his “master”. I also didn’t see any prep, and theoretically it’s Rain’s first time…
As for emotional flop, there was not even “I like you” from Payu, just an acknowledgment that Rain can stay by his side. Wow, thank you master! 🙄
And to seal puppy/master dynamic for me - “Rain belongs to Payu. Say it”. Um, ok, but what about “Payu belongs to Rain”? Isn’t a relationship a two way street?
Sorry, I don’t mean to crap on this series, just something didn’t sit right with this scene, even though I do appreciate it overall - it was very nicely done. It’s rather about the script, not actors.

That’s their whole relationship dynamic so far: a puppy and his owner, and I’m not sure if I like it. I wonder if they will ever level up to equal partners…
