Okay! I thought I was the only one completely confused. I’m fluent in Cantonese and basic conversational in mandarin and I seriously don’t know what happen. I usually can translate some words into Cantonese in my head and I’d understand. Even the English subs in which I can fully comprehend didn’t make sense to me. She said something and then they were still okay and then he got all angry. I was like wait what just happened?

First came across this guy in Our Secret. He was second male lead but I was captivated by what a natural he was at acting. I really didn’t know he was going to play a villain here and he killed it too! Love his expressions and his line deliveries. Our secret is a modern day high school drama so he played a completely different character in that one. I’m gonna watch out for this guy and his dramas!!

Oh man, SAME. Really curious as to how it reached an 8. I really wanted to like it. I like SY. I love CZY. I personally didn't feel the chemistry? Writing was also so-so for me. I dropped at episode 7. I like how people liked it though. I like these actors so it's good to know that their drama is still somewhat popular amongst viewers.

I have failed you. I made it to episode 7 and literally cannot pay attention. It’s almost like my body is rejecting the poor storyline and mediocre acting and subpar chemistry. I’m sad to be a quitter and sorry to disappoint. I really, really tried. ;(

Ooo same same, everyone loved goblin but also could not get past the age gap. I think this drama I’m more okay though bc the age gap in real life is only two years. Goblin is 12 years between the leads.

Came across the trailer to this months ago and was really excited bc I watched ALSB, MG and Use for my Talent and Shenyue constantly plays that shy, confused look, stands up for herself in a very low self esteem kinda way and has a slight bounce when she runs off or walks fast and I was just very tired of that same role she plays.

The trailer portrayed her as somewhat more strong willed and outgoing so I was like oh okay, this is gonna be good, she nabbed a different role. I also didn’t know who the heck CZY was so I watched our secret and of course fell COMPLETELY IN LOVE with him and his natural acting chops. I knew I was ready for Mr Bad.

Currently on episode 5 and someone please tell me it gets better. Am I the only one who feels like it’s borderline bad? CZY is still really good but it feels like he’s just on his own out there being good. Shenyue…sigh. I’m a fan but I think I have to come to terms with the fact that she has a lot of room for improvement when it comes to acting. I can tell she’s acting, I can tell she’s going over the top. The way she talks, the way she stares, the way she walks. It all screams scripted. (I know it’s scripted, it’s a drama. But I don’t want to feeeeel that when I’m watching a drama) It’s just not natural at all.

I also don’t feel an ounce of chemistry between them. Just got to the part where she pretend-seducing him. I’m over here like >__> yikes. I feel nothing but discomfort. I wanna love this. I wanna love this so badly. Someone tell me it gets better.

Not sure why I would hate him just for that, I love this guy and I want him to have all the happiness in the world. But why would a drama get cancelled just because the leads are dating? Isn’t that a good thing? Good publicity?
