Its literally a remake of because this is my first life but i guess its not official one. Also the ml in both…
I just finished this today, and I wouldn't consider it a remake of Because This is My First Life at all. They share the same basic premise, and the male leads have some similarities in their personalities, but that's really where the similarities between the stories ends.
I just binged this in one sitting today, and....I don't know. It had a great start to it, really fun opening on our main characters and their contract relationship and the first 5 eps were solidly moving and enjoyable. But then.... choices were made in the story, and not all of them were the greatest. I'm gonna have to sit with this one for a little bit and figure out how I feel about it.
This was really charming to watch. It starts off comical and lighthearted but after a few episodes, it reveals a lot of hidden depth. I would definitely consider this a comfort watch, or I guess as the youngins' are calling it these days, a Healing drama. Highly recommend.
They will roll with another actress if PEB doesnt agree for s2. Business is Business
I disagree. With some dramas, they could get away with it, but part of why people have loved this drama so much is PEB herself, the way she specifically played the role. Without her, people won't be interested in watching a season 2.
I'm rewatching this, currently 3 eps away from finishing, and this drama is so much better than I remember! And I loved it my first watch through, so that means I love it even more now. I'm glad I'm at a place that I can re-watch dramas now, because rewatching this has been giving me all the feels, lol.
During the original airing, the now 10 second intro song "Paradise" was played in place of where you here "Bang,…
Interesting. I finished BOF last night, so that's why I was curious. I don't think I would have been able to handle listening to 'Paradise' that often, lol.
I also think we may be moving into a Cdrama wave in the western drama community, if their growing popularity in…
Of course, I've been moving away from Kdramas and more into Jdramas, personally, because they have more human interest and slice of life and family focused stories, which are things I'm really hungering for at the moment in dramas. I'm definitely interested in watching more Cdramas, but Jdramas are calling my name this year, lol.

I think you're probably right that Kdramas will still have the most popularity. They've built a really solid western following at this point, and it's gonna take other countries time to reach that level with their dramas. At the same time, I completed my first two Cdramas this year (working on a third), and the difference between them and the few I've tried in previous years is somewhat striking. I do think the censorship is going to start really ramping up though, and Cdramas are going to suffer because of it, which is very unfortunate.
I really like seeing articles like this, because they always have a heavy focus on older dramas, and I think we all need to give older dramas a little more love. I'm purposely trying to watch more of them when I can.
now im half-expecting the ending to suck...multiple seasons tend to degrade the quality of the show over time,…
I believe Attorney Young Woo was filmed in advance (someone let me know if I'm wrong), so whatever the ending is like, it was already like that before the speculation about a season 2.
I had a bunch of different thoughts about this past week's episodes that I'd written up for a spoiler comment, but after finishing ep 14, I've decided just to go with what the writer/director has decided to do in the story and not stress myself over the cracks we've begun to see. I agree with other commenters that some plot points and plot twists were thrown in too last minute and they may not be able to wrap up it all up in a satisfactory way, but I'm just going to respect the vision and enjoy the rest of the drama as it is.
I’m ashamed at how much I still want CSY & KMW to end up together even though he has had almost no character…
I feel you. While I'm not interested in seeing that pairing, I definitely understand what you mean. Kdramas trained us for years to have certain expectations, and those expectations are hard to break.
The tone of this drama confuses me. I love all the humor around the three of them being unlucky and bringing it with them wherever they go. I also really loved how suddenly heartwarming the story became in ep 1 with the female lead having such an atypical viewpoint on her unluckiness. But the rest of the drama seems to not know what it wants to do. I'm halfway through, and I still don't know what kind of story this is supposed to be. I'm enjoying it enough to finish, but it's definitely making me scratch my head.
