Apart from the topic of the article, I really think both of your editing skills are so cute and aesthetic.
One of my favorite things about the Editorials (apart from the actual writing, of course) is how aesthetically pleasing a lot of the articles usually are. I love all the time and attention the writers put into them.
Hype is a double-edged sword. It's great that it helps popularise different shows (and dramas in general), but…
"Overall, I'm glad that I discover dramas when they were a niche entertainment." I feel this way too. I'm unsure what my drama journey would have been like if I'd joined the community way later. I also miss those early days when the only place to watch dramas was the illegal streaming sites. The drama community was different back then.
"I remember when I first got into this world, I used to check my drama count religiously, as if it were some kind…
You will definitely burn out, lol. I was like that for probably close to the first seven to ten years of being a drama lover, because I can be obsessive about my interests sometimes, especially when I'm new to an interest, and I ended up having to take a break for a year or two and regroup.
I would recommend, if you can get yourself to do it (because sometimes we have to learn the hard way, lol), to find a gentle way to move yourself out of this stage. You don't want dramas stressing you out. You want them giving you joy.
When it comes to shows or movies based on a book or tv show, for the most part it won't be 1-1 when making it.…
I would say the actress growing up and the decision to have the characters wear regular clothes outside of class were also big contributors to them prettying her up, cause she's still the awkward girl with the bushy hair in the first two movies, and I think she looks right for the part there. Also, it's pretty well known that Hermione was the favorite character of one the director's, so he made some changes to make her more likable and give her more prominence. She actually was given a lot of lines and important moments from the books from other characters (especially Ron) because the director said 'She's so smart. You could just say she learned it from a book.'
disappointed but not surprised as always thailand is left out, also philipines. are we a joke to you mdl?
The Editorials are written by unpaid volunteers who come up with the topics themselves based on their own experiences and interests within Asian dramas.
Well, I marathoned this yesterday and today, and....it was really good up til ep 9. I was enjoying it so much,…
A random girl who went on one date with the male lead in high school and it was obvious he didn't really like her back then shows up and is all 'I've loved him for ten years! Give him to me!' (I'm exaggerating a bit, but that was essentially her attitude.) And the female lead...acquiesces. Granted, two of our side characters have a heart to heart with her telling her she's being foolish and she sort of, finally, sees some reason, but this whole plot twist was unnecessary and led to a rushed finale. Still working through my overall feelings on this drama, but this ^ story choice definitely was a buzzkill.
Well, I marathoned this yesterday and today, and....it was really good up til ep 9. I was enjoying it so much, in fact, that I struggled to understand what people were complaining about. Then I got to ep 9, and now I understand the complaints. (Spoiler thoughts below.)
The light novels are being published in English in America through Square Enix and the manga is being published in English in America through Yen Press.
I'm also hoping my suggestion post will help with that, lol. If you'd like to vote, it's here: https://kisskh.at/discussions/suggestions/120685-where-have-all-the-editorials-gone-can-we-bring-them-back-please
(Self-promotion, but it's really Editorials promotion, so I think it's fair, right, lol?)

And they made me love the Akiko/Akira pairing so dang much that I'm going to cry buckets in the 2024 special if they don't end up together.
I just know we're not going to get a conclusion to the potential romance between Akiko and Akira.
I'm having so many feelings right now.
