A lot of people are getting hung up on Bo Geol giving Mok Ha a pair of shoes, and I just want to remind everybody that her feet would not be the same size after 15 years, so I don't know how much weight we can put into him knowing her shoe size.
(I'm team Bo Geol, btw. Just don't think the shoes can be seen as evidence.)
The relationship dynamics of this drama are completely nonsensical. I don’t understand almost any of the writing choices. I was looking forward to what I thought would be a lighthearted summer drama. Lots of beach vibes, some sweet romances, and good fun. This definitely is not that.
Problem with your idea: Ran Joo wrote the song, not Ki Ho.
My point is it's not possible for the song to be a clue about who Ki Ho is. The song was written by Ran Joo, and she can't write about something she doesn't know about. Ran Joo wouldn't know about Ki Ho waiting for 15 years or about the accident that caused one of the brothers to lose his memories. We just can't rely on the song to know that Ki Ho didn't lose his memories.
And I want to say again here that I do believe Bo Geol is Ki Ho, so I'm not disagreeing on that. I just don't think the song provides us any clues to Ki Ho's identity.

Yes, but Ki Ho was still around the same age when he met Ran Joo as when he and Mok Ha attempted to run away. That means it's possible he met Ran Joo before whatever happened when his dad showed up, and he definitely met Ran Joo long before he had spent however many years showing up in front of Seoul Station hoping to see Mok Ha. (I say however many, because we don't know if he showed up every July 1st for 15 years or if it was a shorter length of time. He appeared to be in his uniform for his mandatory service in the last shot we get of him outside Seoul Station which would have likely been when he was somewhere around 18-21.)
I'm firmly team Bo Geol is Ki Ho, btw, because he knew where to go without being told when he found out someone sent Mok Ha flowers and said they would meet her. Only Ki Ho would have known to go to Seoul Station. But as lovely as the song is, it really doesn't indicate which brother is Ki Ho.
Nothing yet but consider that it made a lot of money at the box office, I don't see why they wouldn't.
There's also the bonus scene following the credits hinting at more story to come. Since it sounds like this has done very well in Japan, and the source material is well-liked, I imagine a sequel will get made.
The law in Korea recently changed so that the Korean age system won't be used anymore. I don't know if the drama writers are accounting for that in their story or not, but if the characters ages will still be under the Korean age system, there is a possibility of the three romantic leads Korean ages being used as potential red herrings.
Just finished ep 2, and it was so good! I am so hype for more of this drama.
A few thoughts: I love both brothers. I love their relationship with each other. I love their individual personalities. I love their parents and the whole family dynamic. They're all just great.
I have no idea which one is Ki Ho, and there are so many possible ways for all of that to work out so I'm gonna try to exercise patience and let the story go where it wants to, but I know I'm going to be partly sad either way, because one of them will end up disappointed, and I already want both to end up happy. But then the other part of me is going to be happy, because I think either pairing will end up being equally wonderful and squeel-worthy.
This drama is gonna be an emotional, heartwarming, wild ride, guys. Let's all buckle in, lol.
Kinda hard to believe that FL won't be found for 15 years. I mean, she couldn't have landed on an island too far…
For the monthly female stuff, it's possible she's so physically active while living on the island, that she stops having her period. A lot of female athletes don't have their periods because of how physically active they are.
Not sure where the island is situated but its a ferry service. I can see every day items like umbrellas, shawls,…
The assumption I'm making is that it's close enough for stuff to wash up (and a surprising amount of junk does end up in the ocean even farther away from inhabited land masses) but far enough away that people wouldn't easily see her/no one is going out to that island for any reason.
I hadn't thought about it, but she might be so physically active that she would stop having a period. A lot of female athletes don't have one because of how physically active they are.
