I think ppl mainly claim it's similar because it has old Chinese looking clothing (which Koreans copied through…
Heroic adventures belong more to the wuxia genre where the hero is low class people but a fighter and goes place to place to fight for the right thing and improve himself. In Korean historical drama I watched, the ML is mostly royal or nobility and there is few adventures. The plot evolves around same places and same characters and there is only one main plot. I suspect in AOS the ML has a funny birth story but it is not his true origin.
ML will not be a big fighter probably. Epic fightings are also more in Wuxia with people taking martial stances, barehand kung fu, hitting acupuncturist points, jumping and flying everywhere, swordfights floating in the air... Korean historical drama fights have no martial arts and swordfights are quite basic. So I do not expect and I do not wish for this drama to look wuxia.
Ep10. If her home is a crime scene, how is she able to just go inside and search already? Kang Jae's detective…
To think that the guy Kang Jae had the biggest piece of evidence in his hand when he investigated the house of the murdered guy Noh Man Cheol. He did not confiscate and investigate the necklace but instead he stole it to cover for Ma Ri. Agree his methods are very questionable.
I'm definitely suspecting KJ's partner. He always tells her everything he finds. As for the preview. Please, don't…
Maybe she is in cahoots with the bad guys... That would be shocking for me.
This drama already presented a cringe proposal using the kids of a church. Why not a second one in public? I agree with you. Better be sure of the answer beforehand. All these public proposal rejections are funny to watch but also sad and kind pathetic is you are the one who proposes.
Agree Rapahel and Woori are clearly not at a stage you can propose.
because chinnes is famous for this genre which automatically makes people think of it after seeing something similar?…
So shall we consider that a chinese movie using a character dressed into cossaks and using daggers and a shashka is a russian fantasy movie?
Plus there are so many style of hanfu you could call all the clothes in korean hystorical drama "hanfu" so all the korean historical dramas must be chinese historical drama according to your logic?
I don't think that makes this a xianxia. Xianxia has plenty of codes which give a typical universe that is not here.
This drama is funny but I have so many questions. Why didn't she report the stalker as soon as she found out?…
It is complicated to report someone and it does not help if you don’t go to the end of it using lawyer to obtain a prohibition on approaching which would possibly not be respected. It also takes money and time. She probably thought it is enough to tell him to stop. Also she moved back to her mom’s home. She did not think he would follow her until there.
She probably went to the police to confess she killed someone and be placed into arrest. Agree she should have called them and say that she was attacked instead. She did not need to assume she is the one responsible of the situation.
I share the idea that the body was removed already or the guy was not dead and left the fridge somehow. Also I think they did not plug it because they did not need it that night.
The theory about more than one murderer is interesting. The neighborhood look average but also weird people connected to each other.
The fridge is used as intro and it is part of the black comedy . They do not try to be too realistic and practical on that matter. Putting the corpse in a fridge abandonned in the street and going to drive a truck to load that fridge is not realistic. They could have just used the truck...
so there's the theory that our fl had a heart related illness when she was younger and got a heart transplant…
But how did they know the heart of the twin sister would be compatible? Stroke of luck? I think the transplant theory is improbable. As for the stalker maybe he is not dead? Maybe he escaped and went to his house and killed the woman inside?
Korean historical dramas with spirits, demons, shamans.... I think Korean entertainment has to improve on this…
Ok Goryeo. The starting point was the time travel and I thought It would be a big part but it was reduced to tiny parts at the beginning and at the end. So it was like they had an idea but switched to a simple historical drama with multi love triangles and schemes I was not so invested in.
No time travel here but I hope the fantasy part will be good. Better than in Lover of the Red Sky where the demon looked funny and it was redundant.

It has a fantasy part with the FL time traveling back in Joseon. The part was not well handled. The big part looked too traditional historical drama with FL and her harem of princes. The two genre historical and fantasy were not well blended and it was disappointing for me.
Watched ep1 and it is really not what I expected. It was weird but also funny. Even the crime part was fun like in a dark comedy. I need to find ep2 now...
Somehow I got a feeling, Na Hee, Kang Jae’s detective partner, is either an accomplice to or Chairman Kim him/herself!
At first I shipped her with Kang Jae since they are working so well as a couple of cops. I don't see her as a villain. The drama is too short to make her evolve that way. It would be shocking for me but who knows... This drama doesn't really focus on being realistic anyway.

One long week to wait...
