Woori must have been very bored these two years. Always his agenda. No fun, not a trip to the sea or a trek in the mountain, not a week end together in another city, no skinships, no kisses... What a boring relationship.

Woori took the best decision and the break up is a blessing for both of them.

I am not blaming anyone and gender equality is a concept about rights, responsibilities, conditions, opportunities.. Men being different from women is a biological reality. Having intimacy is a matter of biological, physical and psychological convergence. It has nothing to do with gender equality.

He had the idea and acted accordingly and lied to Woori. This was enough for Woori to see that in reality, he is not on the same page with her.

And probably she noticed he never was because after breaking up, she noticed everything could go just fine for her.

Man have more drive for intimacy so the woman cannot agree everytime. Her decision must be accepted. Woman enjoy an emotional connection first then she wants intimacy. Man should pay attention to this so the woman is not frustrated.

When Woori decided to loose her virginity and sleep with her bf, it was important for her and she made herself emotionnally in a state to do it. But Kang Jae could not align himself and be in sync with her. He should have invested himself to better the athmosphere for her but instead found a very bizarre excuse. I am pretty sure she was very frustrated.

Btw, do all koreans go to the hotel when they want to do it for the first time? That's not very romantic...

I watched all the Hong sisters' dramas except for three. I think they "take good care" of their lead characters and there was never a tragic ending apart from one. I hope for a happy ending too but I hope the story will be very good before it ends.

We were just talking about hollywood because I said Xianxia is a chinese taylored sub category of the fantasy category and it can be copied by anyone just like Italy copied the US hollywood westerns and did great at it.

Chinese xianxia is not a model though. It's too specfic. I hope South Korea can develop their own identity for their historical fantasy drama with the common fantasy base: spirits, demons, shamans, witches, monsters, swords and magic but without the chinese specificities: martial arts, chinese mythology, taoism, chinese medicine, chinese religious or popular beliefs. They do not need to do that. The korean culture is a good base to develop fantasy from.

This drama is set in a fictional country at a fictional time so they can take elements from anywhere they want I am fine with it as long as it is coherent. Based on the latest trailer, it looks very korean drama and I am glad it does.

I agree that people, countries, regions, have their specificities or things they share which make them more "reponsive" to one or to another movie or drama. I like medieval fantasy like Witcher better than xianxia. But there are also "universal"movies that most people around the world like and Hollywood is the best at these.

Where is the racism? China is a country and chinese is a citizenship, not a race. How can people be racist against a citizenship? against movies? The fact that you think chinese is a race just tells that you are the racist one as you use a racial criteria to determine the chinese identity.

Your stance about China is funny. South Korea's and Japan's culture are more popular and impactful than chinese one. All the chinese movies are dumb propaganda bs which works in China only. The Battle at Lake Changjin, Wolf warrior, Operation Red Sea, My country, My people, 800... are chinese most successful movies but around the world, nobody watched them. They are crappy movies.

Japanese mangas animation movies are popular around the world. South Korea Hallyu is taking the world by storm and BTS is even speaking at the United Nations while korean movies and actors are winning international prizes.
