He looks a middle aged man. Which is very fine for me. She looks in her mid 30s. They look well assorted as a couple and I agree the chemistry is really good. Maybe because the drama quickly showed they have a special relationship made of many things: working, mentoring, supporting, protecting, day dreaming, fantasizing... These two are the best part. The rest is ok so far.

Why people claim this is a xianxia/wuxia drama. There is nothing in the pictures or teasers that look like chinese style of fantasy. Or maybe they think wandering with a sword, eyes covered up, or invoking spirits only belong to xianxia/wuxia. This is quite common in fantasy genre. What makes xianxia/wuxia is not that. It is the specific Chinese elements like religion, philosophy, way of thinking, hysterical fighting flying into air. Unique things that we don't see in other subgenres of fantasy. I don't see any of these in this drama so far.

I like the actor and the previous work I saw from him but I don't like his character here. He is a complete stalker and bullies his way back to the FL's side like he is going to take her back finger in the nose. That repayment thing about his broken camera is bs.

Woori must have been very bored these two years. Always his agenda. No fun, not a trip to the sea or a trek in the mountain, not a week end together in another city, no skinships, no kisses... What a boring relationship.

Of course Woori is self centered. This is why she wants a man who gives her fun, kisses her and hugs her, is intimate with her, does not lie to her for things important like her baby.

He failed to consider that possibly she would not give the baby because Raphael and his wife are bad or they disappeared from earth and she would just choose to raise the baby. Would Kang Jae side with her? Well he just told her he would not because this would not be his plan and his dreams he share with her.

Woori took the best decision and the break up is a blessing for both of them.

I am not blaming anyone and gender equality is a concept about rights, responsibilities, conditions, opportunities.. Men being different from women is a biological reality. Having intimacy is a matter of biological, physical and psychological convergence. It has nothing to do with gender equality.

He is self centered. After two years of dating he did not consider marriage and his friends had to talk him into proposing. He did it the most cringe way at the worst moment. He does not look for fun time with his gf. He is happy enough just to see her but she wants fun. He is not in sync with her regarding kisses and skinships. She wanted to do it at the hotel but he found a weird excuse which showed how different they are regarding practise of religion. She is not a devout like him.

They were not compatible because he did not really care about her. They had different needs and irreconcilable priorities. The baby confirmed this. Kang Jae lied and covered something to make sure the baby would be given and he would not have to raise it. That was selfish. It doesn't matter that he changed his idea. He had the idea and acted accordingly and lied to Woori. This was enough for Woori to see that in reality, he is not on the same page with her.

And probably she noticed he never was because after breaking up, she noticed everything could go just fine for her.

Man have more drive for intimacy so the woman cannot agree everytime. Her decision must be accepted. Woman enjoy an emotional connection first then she wants intimacy. Man should pay attention to this so the woman is not frustrated.

When Woori decided to loose her virginity and sleep with her bf, it was important for her and she made herself emotionnally in a state to do it. But Kang Jae could not align himself and be in sync with her. He should have invested himself to better the athmosphere for her but instead found a very bizarre excuse. I am pretty sure she was very frustrated.

Btw, do all koreans go to the hotel when they want to do it for the first time? That's not very romantic...

I watched all the Hong sisters' dramas except for three. I think they "take good care" of their lead characters and there was never a tragic ending apart from one. I hope for a happy ending too but I hope the story will be very good before it ends.
