At fist they wanted the ML in one reality of Africa: Go to a big city, build a nightclub and party 24/7 and eat McDonalds and Pizza but they thought maybe it would not make the ML endearing and sympathetic so they decided to put him in another reality of Africa: going in a foreign organization to help drill a well for some people in a place somewhere in Africa.

What is showed of Africa in the drama happens in plenty of countries in Africa yesterday and nowadays. It is nothing racist. It is one reality of Africa. Just google it or go watch videos on Youtube. It you think these foreign people filming themselves drilling wells in Africa are racists and promoting a bad image of Africa you can petition against them. It will be more useful than an outraged stance against a fictional work in a comment section.

I like Kang Yoo Sung as he is cool and a good leader and competent in his job. I would not mind if he has a love story with Park Ho Yeong but I think she also has a good chemistry with Han Dae Soo the CEO of rival company. Their relationship is fun to watch.

Please make petition against these bad foreign people making Africa look like poor continent which doesn't have water and need the help of others.. They are the worst people. Africa needs you to save them from these racist people putting Africa in a bad light with their so called helping hand for Africa.

It is refreshing to watch a drama where the PR guys are the heroes with their job, mistakes, gossips, urgencies, issues when dealing with their clients/actors who are weirdos. I like the FL and the PR team, Mr Kang, Ms Park, Ms Jo, Mr super driver,.. Not really convinced by the ML Gong Tae Sung. He looks like a kid trying to pull the braids of the girl he likes. I wish there was more background and complexity about him. Will keep watching.

The reality that in Africa, the death rate of people poisoned by drinking unsafe water is 80 times to 141 times above the average of the rest of the world. That's reality. And don't give me your "have you been there?" because with this logic you can only talk about your room in your dad and mom house ok?

But the drama does not portray the whole Africa either. The drama just take one situation in one random place in relation with a problem which is specificaly important in Africa. I think they did not need more details. It was just a background and not even a wrong one.

But a drama tells a fictional story based on situations met in real life or not. These people who are angered to see things that they "usually see" or "see too often" , they take a problem with it because of their own circumstances. It has nothing to do with the drama with just tells a consistent story.

Is it consistent that a hallyu star goes to Africa help drillling a well to do a good action and comes back home. Yes. Ok. End of story

It is not a stereotype about Africa in general. It is a particular reality in Africa.

Male lead went there in a place in Africa to help needy people in a particular situation in order to redeem himself. Probably he did some bad deeds to the FL and went there to build a better image of himself. But she does not look so naïve.

Go look at the video again. What is disclosed in the drama is not half of what is in this video. All these foreign people bragging to help african people make the africans look bad and in need of foreigners to come help them all the time. This is so racist and a stereotyped imagery of Africa. This is what this drama did in its scenes of Africa. This kind of thing must stop surely. isn't it?

But a drama is not the medias. It does not have any obligation to portray Africa or Europe or Middle East in a realistic or balanced or great way. The drama just used one kind of situation that exist in Africa to put its characters in and tell their trajectory and make them likeable or awful ...

Some people just wanted to find a problem where there is none.

Is it elitist to state facts? It is not because others know theses facts and you don't know them that it makes them elitist. You think Africa having a major issue on access to drinking water is a stereotype? It is not a stereotype. Africa is the only continent in the world with death rates caused by drinking unsafe water that are above 80 compared to the rest of the world and it peaks at 140. In the rest of the world, the average is close to 0.9 or 1.

So you see, it is not a stereotype. It is a plague. A national cause for many african countries because this rate is even above the rate of deaths for smoking cigarettes or traffic accidents. This is why there are organizations in Africa and outside Africa which help funding and financing the drilling of wells and making water safe to drink. What happens in the drama is not a stereotype. There are plenty of people around the world who send money to drill wells. in Africa There are foreigners to go drill these wells bringing money to finance machines and work in cooperation with local authorities and people.

What you see in the drama is just a depiction of what is real in Africa. Still you and the likes of you would call this a stereotype depiction of Africa. Sorry but that's what happens in Africa no matter it pleases you or not.

Your outrage is fake because you know very well that this drama did not portray Africa or africans in a bad light. They just used a specific problem in Africa as a background of a sub plot where a guy goes to drill a well for people to have water.

The drama is not here to convey a bad image of Africa. It is a depiction of what happens in Africa. This is done in real life by thousand of real people african and non african. If you are not happy with that why you don't go talk to them the real people and tell them "stop financing wells in Africa and stop going there to drill wells because it give a bad image of Africa?"

You are just showing off a so called African pride and trying to find something wong in a plain depiction in a drama.
