This drama is a historical romance drama basically telling the story about the woman who had lost her identity…
It makes no sense to live to just survive. Why live if you have no reason to live? What is Lee Hwi's reason to survive living as a CP? That's the big mystery.
What is love? Can you go to the Weeknd and say to him "I Love you no matter you are black or white". He will tell you "but I am black, biatch". Would you go tell a black lesbian woman "I love you no matter you are a woman, black or lesbian?". She would tell you "But I am a woman, black and lesbian". Have you ever been straight to someone and told him "I love you regardless of everything about you?".
That thing about Love beyond race or gender or whatever is bullshit. You love people for what they are. Not for what you think they are. That's not love. That's delusion.
What exactly is keeping the CP going through the miserable life she is living? There is no light at the end of…
I couldn't agree with you more. I just don't see a proper goal why she is doing what she is doing and the steps she is taking to achieve it. I do not really care if in the end she flies abroad with a different identity or she dies in the arms of one of the three guys or the three of them but I would like to see her doing something with her life as CP. Something better than keeping a mascarade which brings no good to anyone.
They are starting to mishandle the gender bender thing. They are trying to sell the story of Love beyond time and gender and classes but in the meantime these two are nowhere in the main plotline.
She was forced to be the CP and I believe she doesn't know how to get rid of this all now. She has no one to guide…
But doing all this because of fear of death is just accepting to be trapped. There must be something in this CP role that will allow her to achieve something in her life. Or it is just meaningless. She could just dress like a man, go to the market, to the harbor, take a ship and sail to Ming and live as Dam-i.
That's a good question. I think it might be a combination of things. She might feel guilty for her brother's death…
I understand your hypothesis but they are still not strong enough for me, even as a combination. She just met her twin brother briefly so why would she pay for his life with that miserable situation or try to avenge him? She did not even know he was her brother before his death. Why keep a promise to her mother who did not know better. The CP title and life is just like a prison and she can never hide the truth forever. So what is she waiting to achieve first? This is where the drama is lacking. They need to give another reason better than this confusing sexuality gender bender mess.
If she is discovered she and everyone around her who helped her conceal her identity will get a death sentence.…
But is not death better than this kind of life? Because so far I don't see anything funny, happy or great in her life as CP especially now that she has to marry a woman who loves the same man she loves... She is just like a hamster running in wheel. She will drag more and more people in her situation and it will lead to many people killed anyway...
We know that he was on the execution ground when the teacher of young CP was executed. Young CP was also there and he was killed later. Today we have learnt that his half tally belonged to his father. So for me he cannot be the real Crown Prince but I am wondering how come so many people are advancing this theory. I fear that it is true and they read the manwha and know it as a fact. Somewhere there will be a stunt to tell that he is the twin brother. I don't wish for it to happen though.
As a teen boy, he fell in love with a teen girl. He likes a maid he met in the forest and went to look for her. Now he is in love with a man. Ji Un has to be pansexual or he won't be able to cope with all this... especially when he learns it is not a man but it was always that teen maid. lol
Why Dam-i still has to pretend to be the CP? Does she have to save her father from her grandfather? Does she have to save the country from the Ming? Does she have to pretend until she meets her mother in the afterlife? I just don't understand what her deal is? What is her good reason that justify that she accepts this huge lie as a life? Now, is she going to force a young woman who loves another man to marry her, a man in public and a woman in private, for the sake of the crown. Or is she bisexual and she will make that "wife" love her? What is the reason why she does all that?
I did not recognize him from Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. Had to check his filmography. His face looks chubbier, not as goodlooking now. Makes him even younger compared to the FL.
The two first eps are solid. The situations are not convoluted but well crafted with a nice building of suspense. The pace is also good. South koreans are great in this genre. lol.
it's a way to protect lee hwi since he knows lee hwi's a girl now..and if he makes lee hwi the crown prince lee…
The King probably knows CP is his daughter and the twin girl he wanted dead. I don't think he is trying to spare her or protect her. The best way to protect her would be to go talk to her, make her step down and appoint his younger son a CP. He is using her for something. He knows she is the blood and pawn of his enemy the Left State councilor. She is his shield.
Plenty of people mentioned it. But it can't be. On the day young CP's teacher was executed, Ga On and young CP were both present. Can't be the same person.
No they don't. Only the FL's mother (former queen), cousin, nanny and Eunuch Hong know so far...
After the birth of the two twins and their mother faked the death of the twin girl, she gives the baby to guard Yoon to be taken out of the palace in a safe place. Yoon leaves her in a temple. Years later, Dam-i enters the palace as a maid and Yoon is informed by her mother it is her.
On the day of the execution of Lee Hwi's teacher, he meets her the maid and thinks it is Dam-i but he soon realizes it is the young Crown Prince in disguise and the young CP is killed in front of his eyes. Later, after the mother asked the daughter to take the place of her brother, he knows, it is the sister in the stead of her brother.
