I could not agree more. All this hair saloon make-up thing looks the usual cdrama brainwashing lecturing: "work hard, improve yourself to be acknowledged and successful and thrive in life". The problem is it is not interesting and takes a huge part of the drama.
The sci fi time travel which is the true plot is scarce and honestly, it is spoonfeeding infos and it is not very coherent. She was in a car falling into the river. What home is she supposed to go back to? The bottom of the river?
I am at ep 12 and really struggling now. I have reached this point because I like the two lead characters but I am ready to put this on hold and wait to binge watch if it gets better.

All this hair saloon thing makes no sense to me. FL was a business woman in the previous world. ML looks rich. All she has to do is to get a loan from him, invest in a business she knows and make money to pay him back et voilà.
Why work hard in a hair saloon to be recognised by people you don't even care about because you are going to jump back home anyway. Also it is not like the original Jiang Xiao Yuan will inherit her skills and achievement if she comes back.

Is it about a Matrix world created as a game to escape a real world? Then all this talking about being in the body of another you in a parrallel world is just bs?? All that tension, cringe and abuse between ML and FL is also a joke...
10 episodes. 1/3 of the drama. But I am till struggling to understand what is the basic concept of this story.
The FL says she is a time and space traveler and talk about other travelers like her but why she says she is in the body of the original Jiang Xiao Yuan? and all her bickering and fighting with ML is due to that?
Time and space travelers travel with their own body, soul, past, skills, knowledge. They can't enter in the body of the person of the world they are in. What if this person died already? To me this looks like transmigration of soul or spirit possession or soul jumping across parallel worlds. That would be sad because it would mean that the version in the world where the car jumped into the river died. In what body Jiang Xiao Yuan will return to if she manages to go "home"? The one falling into the river or another one somewhere else?
Maybe It is me who just do not understand the concept. The two yellow tubes make me even more confused. Someone who read the original work please spoil me the true situation because now I feel like the writer is just leading me on purpose.

Same for ML. The old god just told him to never open his heart to a lady. I do not think ML knows that FL is the reincarnation of the court maid he fell in love with 500 years ago.
