I watched untamed and did fall in love with his character but I didn't really become a fan - I think watching his interviews and his variety shows cemented it for me. That is why I wished he did more variety shows but I can also understand why he doesn't want to do it after the shit he went through.

Promotions tend to happen during the airing of the drama - they have press conferences and go to variety shows (depending on how successful the drama is). But we know Xiao Zhan isn't doing any variety shows but maybe we MIGHT get a press conference and stuff. I would honestly love a variety show from him - but I think he has decided on never doing one at this point.
