Lol, np. I also thought it was strange because I remember the licensing for TLP was at 43 episodes but Tencent only released 40 (episode restriction of course). Later we realized that Tencent just snuck in the 3 episodes by making 3 episodes SUPER long lol. It is an interesting loophole and I wonder if more people will use it for future dramas.

You are right - China has a law that dramas must have a max of 40 episodes BUT Tencent sort of used a loophole. Most of the episodes for TLP are on average about 45 minutes long however they made 3 episodes have a length of 80-90 minutes long which is where the other 3 episodes come from.

Netflix doesn't have that limit so they aired it the way it was supposed to without the episode restriction. While Tencent just combined 2 episodes into 1 for 3 episodes in order to bypass the 40 episode restriction.

Sometimes I wonder .. . .what if Da Siming allowed Shi Ying to meet other females and allowed him to live with everyone else besides for just Chong Ming. If Shi Ying never lived in fear maybe he wouldn't have fallen in love with Zhu Yan because he wouldn't be captivated by her freedom. But I guess that is just a mute point but it is interesting to think of lol. The fact that sometimes knowing the prophecy is the reason for the person's calamity.
