I agree - idk how he keeps getting away with it but it also does make sense. Even in current times - all the people who are in power are corrupt and we know they are but nothing the common people can do but let them continue because they hold all the power for any actual change to happen. Seems like its the case for this as well. I think all the people know PingJing is EVIL but they don't want to get in his way or else they would just die.

All the kids did a great job in the first episode. All of them have a bright future. Just hope they don't join a bad agency that will take advantage of them.

We don't actually know. Her name was never spoken - we just know she is the Princess of Dongxia. But from the family tree we know there are 2 princesses. SO, it could be her or her sister. We don't really know lol. But if you look at the relationship tree that came out - the little girl dresses like the sister and not the FL.

So the Empress Dowager died 8 days ago and they don't know where to bury her. Usually she is supposed to be buried with the late emperor BUT he is currently buried with his consort. The current emperor now has to decide what to do and where to bury the recently deceased Empress Dowager. The Empress Dowager is not the current emperor's birth mother but another Princes instead. I believe the consort that is buried with the late emperor is the emperor's actual birth mother. So, that is where the dilemma lies and on top of that the emperor doesn't want the Prince (The dowagers remaining son) to come back to the capital and maybe cause an unrest or even try to take the throne from him.

PingJing is supposed to help with the situation but there are 2 factions - 1 of the factions want the Dowager to be buried with the late emperor while the others do not. So, it is hard to please both sides.

ROFL! I swear if PingJing even tries to get those words out of his mouth I would laugh hysterically lol. No way he actually thinks someone he tried to kill with those tomb boobytraps wants him alive. He even tried to have him killed again by having him buried with the emperor. Like anyone with a brain could tell he would want him dead.

Yup! Main reason why I tend to never watch ongoing dramas lol. It is always better to binge that having to play the waiting game.

Idk if PingJing is stupid or he doesn't care that all his lackey's are incompetent or just stealing ideas. Like that isn't going to help him get far - if anything the only reason he is even this successful is probably due to luck and the fact he has more power than the people he has picked on. It definitely isn't because he is smarter or has smarter people with him.

We are getting 2 episodes but I think they purposely didn't give us episode 8 because they don't want us to know how he got out of that situation. Pretty much killing us with anticipation lol

Ahhh the cliffhanger is gonna be annoying for episode 6 - I am like waiting for the next 1 like crazy. So, take ur time until tomorrow to maybe catch up so u can avoid that lol.

Exactly. Like they killed all the scholars that came that had any potential and only kept those that are no threat to them. What is even the point of that? It just means they will never get better and clearly they are a bunch of fools that don't even know how to do their works properly. Now they spending all their time on how to get Zang Hai killed. Dude didn't even do anything to hurt them - he just did what his job was. A bunch of LOSERS.

I think there will be a definite friendship plot between the 2 but it will be interesting to see how that even plays out because Zang Hai hates his father while the son wants the fathers admiration. The 2 ideas do clash. It would be interesting if the son picked Zang Hai's side to take his own father down.

Ahhh - than yes get him some Gucci boots lol. But a Cheongsam outfit would be great. I have seen him in some and he looks great in it. Get a customized gucci cheongsam outfit - that would be insane lol.

Oh yea!. The glass bridge scene. I was thinking more of Lara Craft or The Mummy. The Mummy also had a lot of booby traps lol.

That is also true. He trained for 10 years but technically his studies had to be cut short because they believed it to be a great time for him to enter the game because of the dowagers death.

Mei Changsu was already an established general with a good amount of experience in battle while Zang Hai has nothing. I don't even think he met many people in that secluded mountain area that he trained with his masters on. So, most of his skills that he learned are just ideas and never implemented. Dude has to train on the job while knowing each mistake he makes could cost him his life with no one to get him out of it. It is going to be interesting.

I don't think so because I believe its probably behind the locked door that he found while doing the inventory. The dude locked up his serial killer trophies right underneath his other treatures - most likely.

And Zang Hai is a bit busy getting buried with the emperor to go back to JingPing's residence at this point. I do think when he some how escapes from the tombs that he will try to unlock that door because in the trailer he was still wearing scholar robes so he wasn't promoted yet.

The FL is the princess but technically in the storyline she hasn't been revealed to be the princess. Some people are speculating she might not be the little girl that whipped Zang Hai in the 1st episode but we have to wait until they tell us. I do feel like it might be true because the FL does have another sister who is also a princess - so she might have been the little girl in the carriage and not the FL. Because the personalities are a bit different. I know people change peresonalities though so it could still be her

Oh I know. But I wonder how he is going to get out of that situation. Because as of right now he is a sacrifice - even if he escapes the tombs he would be sent back because he has to die there. That is what the emperor decrees and no one can go against that except for the emperor. But how will he reverse the situation and make it so that the emperor takes back that decree and he can live and not be a sacrifice.

I know most of the children kind of look like their adult counterparts. But the kid for Zhuang ZhiXing - absolutely great casting. They look so similar - it's actually kind of crazy.

I feel like there will be romance from the ost clips I saw. The FL - nothing is really been told about her or her past. We just know she owns that gambling place.

I just think it's too early in the drama (we only got 6 episodes). Most likely we will see more once he gets out of all the traps that are set for him lol and we get more of the FL's story
