THIS! I think u said it perfectly lol. I think Gu Wei is aware of the biology but he didn't know how to comfort her. I mean every female is different - they have different ways to feel comfortable when having their periods. And some are worse than others.

Well in the case of cancer it depends. I know someone who has cancer - mind u its rectal cancer - but he is able to eat anything he pleases. The doctor didn't say he should avoid anything - hence he doesn't lol. But ur probably right about the stomach issue. Fried foods would definitely cause some kind of issue or make things worse since ur gallbladder is practically working overtime due to its fatty nature. I know I once had extreme pain in my stomach adn decided to eat fried food - ahhhh the pain lol.

Yea - I mean there are probably a lot of things that aren't correct to make the plot move forward but hey at least its a fun watch lol.

Well, I think its because Gu Wei is a gastro surgeon- which mostly deals with the stomach. Now, idk if all doctors know how to deal with periods but I know my own primary doctor can't deal with it - and she is a female lol. She tends to send me to an endocrinologist - thinking that its my hormones or something but never gives me anything herself since she pretty much has no clue lol. So, I am just guessing it just isn't his specialty and hence they just tried to make it cute instead.

I, however, dont know if Naproxen is not an over the counter medicine in China - so that u might be right on. Can't really say.

Agreed. Not a huge fan of the 2nd leads as well to be honest. I feel they don't add much and they just seem to be placeholders if nothing else. And the cousin of Gu Wei - ughhh don't even get me started with him. After seeing his family - idk how I feel about him even more and the way he acts around them. I hope he gets a 180 character change because thats the only way I might like him towards the end of this

Yea, I do love the LOTR trilogy. Honestly, I might get some hate for this but I do find the LOTR movies better than the book. However, The hobbit novel I find better than the movies lol.

If you have youtube - they also have the DVD version. I think Hunan & WeTV are the only places u can watch the TV version. Most places the default is the DVD version - its just longer and probably less edited than the TV one.
