DJ, just put a bow on yourself that is the perfect gift for PM this Christmas. :-)
Agreed. You invite the 7-year-celibate guy onto the bed to read him a freaking story? Granted, he's too tired for anything more physically challenging at the moment, but still. No, woman. :P
Am I the only person that actually likes the pairing with Da Jung and Kwon Jul?
You are thankfully not. Most people like it. Very young ones, weird possessive fanatics of Yoona or fans of Yoon Si Yoon probably don't, but most seem to like it. :P
I feel like something is off with this drama…i dunno but maybe it's not deep enough? and too unrealistic I mean…
He has been shutting people off for years. Da Jung was the only one to push through and invade his life. She was also the only one to show understanding over his struggles.
With her, he can be himself a bit more, since they know the worst sides of each other already, sides which he has no one else to show to and be sure will be accepted.
The main actor is ugly to me (O_o) don't get me wrong but just my opinion xD
Then that makes perfect sense, yes. I hope they'll give us a romance nice enough so that even you can enjoy though. It's sad going for the second lead only to see them not get the girl. We all go through that often, usually due to the main leads being jerks.
The main actor is ugly to me (O_o) don't get me wrong but just my opinion xD
I disagree, depending on who you mean by 'us'. Some people have issues with it, some don't.
Being put off by the idea of older men is perfectly normal, being quite young and not finding a 44-year-old non-conventionally hot man attractive is normal, but it's not "us" or a majority that has this mindset.
Barbara here, despite me finding her opinion superficial, put it well. She said the guy is ugly to 'her'. Personal taste.
I have issues with those who try to present it as immoral/wrong/creepy as if it's the commonly accepted truth. It's not.
And if someone does find it off-putting, they can admit it's their own taste and choose another show instead of trying to convince everyone else it's "wrong".

If looks are all that matters to you, choose another series, since his looks won't be changing. If you care about skills, he is a talented actor, so stick around and see if you can look past the appearance.
Does anyone have a convincing argument on whether I should watch this or not?
You're looking for an argument in matters of personal taste. It doesn't work that way. It's a fluffy rom-com. Nothing award-worthy, but compared to the depressing and messy things we've had from Dramaland this year, it's at least light and fun and done well for what it is so far. That's about as much as others can say. Check out the two episodes and see. ;)
Oh man... Now I'm hungry! I have been cooking a few dishes and I can safely say, very yummy food they have. I'm blessed to live in a town that has an amazing Asian food store, so that helps. Thanks for the article!
The main guy is 43 and she is 23 !!!! How am i Supposed to watch it!!
So people of different ages can only date if they are both pretty and youthful enough for others to find them cute together? But they are eww if they look their age? Will his wrinkles swallow her up or something? That would make this sci-fi and heck, kdrama could use more of that.
I just wonder, would people mind the age gap if it were a noona romance and you had a pretty boy to stare at? People with huge age gaps date. They also form families. We accept so many unrealistic things from kdrama, but then we mind those that do happen?
Say the scandal and fake marriage are unrealistic, yes, but the age?
I get it not everyone finds big age gaps attractive or romantic and would prefer to swoon over a younger man they can like, but tell it like it is. It's not unbelievable or a bad decision, it's simply something that is not liked by everyone.
"Later, she was criticized because her makeup and nails were always perfectly done."<br /><br />The angry bird-brains (a term offending to birds, frankly) who said such things forget that actresses in Korea do many things besides acting. They have CF deals, photoshoots and their image is their power. Kdrama is ALWAYS unrealistic in that regard, since it never pushes actors to ruin the image they will promote the series with and also need for other types of work they have beyond it. <br /><br />It's a legitimate complaint and I also hate it that it happens, but a) Lee is not the first or last to do it and b) It is not her choice anyway.<br /><br />Frankly, if channels can mess with, cut or extend series as they wish because of ratings, why can't actors quit because of them too? Sounds fair to me.

That is 'History of the Salaryman', one of my favorite ones. The character is the female lead, played by Jung Ryeo Won.
With her, he can be himself a bit more, since they know the worst sides of each other already, sides which he has no one else to show to and be sure will be accepted.
