I came across the manga and found it to be one of the most bizarre - only in Japan - concepts I'd ever come across. Actually, it was so weird, I didn't read it!
So, I'm very surprised that this got a live-action version... is Japan really so hard up for ideas that weren't manga or cartoons first, or is this actually good?
The ending of this was - no spoilers! - deeply unsatisfying, kind of undoing all that came before. And that's the real pity, because the first part of this was absolutely awesome.

I understood this, but the point was, because she's now in another series, there were no lasting repercussions... other than hurting this series!
I'm all for punishing those who commit crimes - especially those who believe that status will protect them - but had she simply admitted herself to have erred, repented, paid the fine/did the time and carried on, it would've been settled. It's not like she killed somebody's cat (or worse)! She is human, made a very stupid, regrettable human mistake and, ultimately, it was this series and the people behind it who suffered as much as she did.
I'm sure we can agree that this is not fair, regardless of cultural attitudes.
A certain character leaving abruptly at the end of one episode really ruined this.
To my understanding, there was a DUI incident and she got booted... but that meant that the final two episodes had to be massively rewritten at the last moment and the others re-edited, to give her less screen-time. Considering the fact that she's acting/has been cast in another series, I think this was a horrible move on the part of the producers and director! They should've just completed their project as scripted, and then stood by or distanced themselves from her, according to however they felt morally compelled.
At the end of the day, Hollywood actors (and directors) who have been accused of much, MUCH worse crimes are still getting gigs and their buddies in the industry still stand by them.

All of that aside, I felt that the tone of this was a little off anyway: there's an almost comedy aspect, the typical one or two dudes taking on large numbers and the action - though quality throughout - was never anything like real life violence. THANKFULLY. I love action, but I hate realistic violence... so when some really nasty crap happens, it really crushes the tone and is pretty sickening.
Ultimately, this series had plain had too many issues and I can't rate it higher than a 6/10.
KissAsian gets shut-down and reinvents itself so frequently, it's hardly reliable. That said, when it does work and when it has the content on there, it's still one of the best.
Just be sure to use BRAVE browser to auto-block pop-ups and other adverts.
Please note that, for the episode 6 I watched, only the 3rd server actually worked. Also, remember to click on the box in the bottom right hand corner of the screen to activate subtitles (I used English, so I can't comment on how well the others worked).

Sorry, but I read it years ago, so I can't say... but I'm guessing the film ended around mid-way or towards the end. Honestly though, you're best off just reading the whole thing - the comics have a completely different feel and the world-building was a lot better.
Hmm, it's not easy to take a list like this seriously when it doesn't include, Fighter in the Wind.
Okay, that's harsh, so how about: as someone who prefers action, crime and thrillers to dramas, I can't agree with a list that focuses mainly on dramas and omits the excellent film about one of Korea's most unsung influencers on martial arts?

Thanks for the link! I actually just watched a fan-sub version that someone had posted a link for below... it wasn't a bad film - not the best - but really not bad and the ending was definitely superior to the comic.

In a nut shell: they both die. I don't remember if she kills him and then herself or or someone else kills her, but they leave a baby parentless in the world and it's just really fucked up. Meanwhile, all the side characters who go around killing and cleaning up murder scenes are all still active, so the baby's future career path is kind of set in stone, given who takes him/her (I don't remember) in.
