About to start my re-watch. I've been trying to watch other CDramas but nothing is working for me. Has Shadow Love ruined all other CDramas for me??? :-(
I just finished to episode 8 and can't wait for next week! This show is still so excellent. I'm also enjoying the cooking competition, and all the food, and the science behind it, and the chemistry between all the characters. I love the friend-relationship between Ji Yeong and Gil Geum, they're so cute together! And I love how the chefs in the royal kitchen are all working together and supporting each other. I even like the Chinese chefs! I like how they're portrayed as honorable and flawed.
Still impressed with Lee Chae Min's eye-acting. He was a happy accident casting-wise. He makes the tyrant king seem cute, which is so strange. How does he do that???!
Does anyone have recommendations for C-Drama's similar to this one? I absolutely loved watching Shadow Love
1. Till the end of the Moon -- he's harsh, then soft, then harsh, then soft; it also has great fantasy elements 2. As Long As We Both Shall Live (aka My Happy Marriage)-- Japanese movie 3. Prisoner of Beauty-- same vibes but in reverse (he's harsh at first, soft toward the end) HIGHLY RECOMMEND 4. Melody of the Golden Age-- though romance light, the romance has similar vibes to the Prince Annan arc. The plot is a little nonsensical, but the romance is divine. 5. Familiar Stranger -- quite good short drama with Cheng Lei 6. Alchemy of Souls (if you watch KDramas) especially the second season 7. Love Between Fairy and Devil
I just started watching. I love it so much.
