She is listed as Yang Chao Yue Jiang Li Ep 1 and 2. Her character waz sent away as a child and nobody has seen her in over 10 yrs hence the switch is believable as noone knows exactly what she looks like.

Yes all true but I did kinda feel she was a saint not in the holy sense but in the moral sense the righteous sense. So I just feel the writing here was not good as we had had a fair amouny scenes and dialogues up to this point including in the previous two episodes that were specifically explaining why XFF was different from those she was seeking revenge on but in this incident she is essentially acting the same as them i found it a really "WTF moment" . She states at times to Wanning Shurong and others that she is not like them. She specifically tells Duke Su and others at different points she can't take the thought of another person dying for her. She confronts Wanning and tells her that having terribly cruel life experiences is not an excuse for evil. Duke Su tells one of the villians she is not like you. And yes she learns her humanity from her father and forgets briefly because of her drive for revenge but recalling his words makes her stay and help the famine victims. She is never anything but righteous. Her violence to the Governer is revenge for her dad and her dads loyal servant who had an awful death. She really struggles with the deaths she's caused indirectly or more directly at times. Jiang Li her bros GF Tong'er her dad's Servant all died as a result of her pursuit of revenge. And so did the physician and his wife and son and her reaction is akin to Wanning thinking of people as ants. It just didn't fit and that it was never acknowledged was not at all satisfying.

LOL But then the question is would it or does it ruin the whole drama for you or at least make you feel like it totally diminishes the FL character and the whole story

Okay you explain it really well but I did understand why she gave the pill as you described. I also knew the Duke had no clue re plan so when he said to her that Wanning had killed a physician The FL immediately smiled to herself and then immediately they had the laughter filled cute moment of ML jealousy. My point is exactly that, in that moment she couldnt care less about the innocent physician or his wife and child, the laughter (regardless of why) proves that. So therefore she has become someone who is, willing to advance her plans, her games, her revenge at the expense of innocent lives. But isnt it a fact she was also an innocent life lost at the expense of Wannings game, and Jiang Li was an innocent life lost at the expense of step moms games. Isnt that what the whole story is about? Isnt that why the revenge is satisfying because you see how cruel needless and unfair the deaths were. You could argue that the step.mom didnt kill Jiang Li rather it was the boss of the convent. XFF didnt kill the Physician but she caused it to happen and her laughing immediately on hearing the news proves she didnt care.
Therefore isnt it feasible that if the physicians child somehow miraculously survived and grew up to avenge his parents wouldnt he be justified in getting revenge on XFF for playing with and devaluing his families lives, and ultimately causing their deaths. Wouldn't he be justified in accusing her of treating his parents as "pawns" that were crushed like "ants".

So When she tricks the Princess into thing she was pregnant, the princess kills the diagnosing physician and his wife and child, When the FL hears about it from the Duke her reaction is to laugh and joke with the Duke pretending to be pregnant herself. What happened to the lessons from her dad about the people and valuing ordinary lives.What happened to her agony over people dying because of her revenge. What happened to her not being like all the villians. Didn't this whole thing start because Wanning just decided to treat her life as being an obstacle as of having no value so she was killed as part of a plot. Isn't that also exactly what happened to Jiang Li.So now the FL is completely okay with other innocent people having the same fate that she is taking her revenge for. is the writer high or just an idiot. oh God yes but also ep 6 with the mom why do so many kdramas depict shitty parents as totally normal. what cultural subtext am I missing here. Also FLs mom looks or acts nothing like the type of mom this FLs would have please. I know it's a comedy but this whole part of ep 6 was just so dumb and unsatisfying.

I'm finally watching this after putting off for so long tbf I've liked the FL in other things she is a great comedic actress and the ML is such a green flag I love it but it's gonna be hard to keep going with the 2Ml He's just so irritating already what a pushy arrogant jackass. The 2 reasons I'd nit bothered was I'd read the ML was not nice so that was a nice surprise that he's not at all bad, but I'd also heard there waz a really annoying triangle and unfortunately it seems like it's actually g9nna be worse than I thought.

Park Shin Hye is just so effing beautiful and she is amazing in this. I feel like shouting out at all the people who dissed her especially all the conceited self appointed experts on r/kdrama where she gets so many snide pretentious and obnoxious comments to look at this one and bow to her beauty and acting skills.
