it's really meh I want to like it more but too many Ahole characters. Too much infidelity being glossed over stupid sex jokes (more streaming platforms trying to westernise Kdramas by having "edgy" "realistic" "modern" behaviour but really just being crass and stupid.
The ex is a total Ahole
The sisters boyfriend relationship is building to something bad.
The president and the other sister is not so cute. And the President is portrayed as a buffoon.
The CEO and the wife are horrible.
The FL family back story is awful.
The ML back story seems equally shit.
I got through six episodes looking at all the beautiful faces especially Shin Min Ah so so beautiful but that's it. I won't be in a hurry to get back to it.

And especially the situational stuff like they are in the hotel room alone together so many better ways to reate chemistry than her acting like gods guft to sex out of nowhere and apparently teasi g himthen restraini g herself it was cringe the buddha line was so not fu nny as i suspect itwaz supposed to be. Honestly it really is like they ate trying way too hard to be edgy and cool with the constant childish sex references. "All the men whove ever slept with me have always come back for more noones just ever done it once" like is that supposed to make you think oh wow shes so cool and empowered. Like what is she a confident sexual actor who berates her partners for poor performance or a passive recipient who lets men decide how often they'll sleep with her.
The scene in Ep 4 in the Hotel after the wedding was also cringe. I feel people who write about sex this way and people who think its cool should probably have more sex as opposed to constantly going on about it. Its giving me Secondary school vibes

Mmm ill elaborate My point is often women especially are critical of how women are portrayed as disempowered in dramas especially in relation to their ability to own their sexuality, and are often portrayed as meek submissive virgins rather than women with a healthy enjoyment of sex and dating. In order to portray this, rather than show it in mature confident ways like perhaps hinted in the flashback scene to her and the ex discussing work ideas in bed before getting it on, instead they have her shouting about performance issues of her partners for all the world to hear like some female version of a manchild. Also the crassness and immaturity of those scenes does not fit well with the rest of her character. She is repeatedly shown as having faults (her prickly rudeness and obsession with not losing anything) but also she is shown as co fident intelligent and caring. So those scenes too me are just demeaning rather than empowering. I highlight it because IMO the writer is showing them to us as evidence of her empowerment within her sexualityand uses this OTT method precisely because she's a woman and it has to be rammed down your throat and caricatured rather than presented as actually average and normal.

This is not bad I could watch Shin Min ah folding laundry she is one of these people you look at and say wow how beautiful. Im only on Ep 3 but Some great characters and traits but for me some of the comedy is not hitting the mark. And why oh why do we have to portray women doing things like buying loads of condoms and shouting about how their partner better not cum before they do in a public space as them being modern empowered women. Man or Woman that sort of behaviour is just crass pathetic and ridiculous. Its like ooh lets put in loads of sex jokes and innuendo so we can be edgy. Its like the writer is obsessed with making sure we all know these people have sex as if thats a prerequisite for the drama being contemporary. Most of the really funny moments are between the two leads. It's only 2 full episides and I'm like okay okay we get it its not a Kdrama where we pretend sex doesn't exist but equally we don't have to pretend that it's normal to shout and roar about your sexual partners performance in the local shop as you buy condoms or that you berate his performance in front of your girlfriends as you dump him.
Anyway I hope we get past this childish notion of sexual empowerment and get on with a good story. The age gap is a bug I hope its part of the actual story if not I will just be like why not just put an older actor as ML. So far I'm underwhelmed with all the male characters tbh. And the ML I'd way too wooden Shin Min Ah is perfect.

I think Gong Hyo Jin has like a co edition in all her dramas that there has to be a stupid love triangle in all her dramas before she will sign up.
