On The Romance of Hua Rong Jan 19, 2020
a light fare but enjoyable throughout. There were just enough episodes to allow the writers to continue to give a fresh storyline and introduce new characters to continue to entertain the viewer each episode. Laughed a lot. The ML was really good (perfect facial expressions for each and every situation), whereas the FL was annoying sometimes. However, it is worth the time to watch. I gave it a 9 - even though it wasn't a big-budget fare.
On Blossom in Heart Jan 7, 2020
I would have enjoyed more if the translations near the end were not computer-generated and the tone and consistency of dialogue became a distraction. As other viewers noted it became a struggle to finish. I finished it but regret the time spent. Should have just dropped it.
On Legend of the Phoenix Dec 29, 2019
Struggled through to 41 ep. Read all of the MDL reviews and definitely did not drop right away, although the first 10 episodes seem like a waste of storytelling and acting. After the 10th episode as indicated by others the story picks up. It has several flaws and you wonder whether to drop or not but want to know the outcome. I tried to find historical references for this emperor to justify pushing forward (could not find); then I just decided to fangirl Jeremy Xu who just has the eye candy power. Recommend if you have run out of substantive to watch. Comedy tag - well - they must have changed writers after a few episodes.
On Triad Princess Dec 14, 2019
Cute binge-worthy drama but disappointed all the episodes weren't released for viewers to have a complete story - not dangling anticipation of another part later on. Since I have short term memory loss I get so frustrated when that happens. Netflix should stop doing this as a habit because it drives the ratings for dramas down - permanently. Even if the second or third half is good you tend to rate on only the portion you saw not the completeness storyline.
On See You Again Nov 29, 2019
This is a drama that is a slow burn before becoming an inferno and infectious for the viewer. Three powerhouse actors took a mediocre and possibly boring story and made it special and worthy of watching. Nonhistorical time travel is tricky. The time continuum is obviously affected immeasurably and as this drama confirms unpredictably. Enjoyed the acting more than the story but it worth every minute - especially after ep 24.

There are at least 3 versions out there. If each episode is 45-min long, then the last episode is 62. If each…
You have solved a mystery that conflicted and confused me until today. Thank you so much. Now I understand the ending...or unfinished ending and the 90 ep tag. It Thanksgiving here, so I want to wish you a heartfelt thank you.

Title Vagabond Spoiler
WTF that's it???? What a crap ending to an other wise good drama.
I thought it was only me when I saw all the "10" ratings. I hate to quote Marvin Gaye - but "what's going on" - confusion and chaos was the ending.
On Royal Nirvana Nov 24, 2019
Just finished ep 6 - this drama is epic. In the same vein as Nirvana in Fire - you have to think and watch the mastermind of manipulation at work. A mental challenge and definitely a taste of romance. Can't wait for translations.
On Well-Intended Love Nov 22, 2019
Fairly enjoyable and chemistry of leads and other couples are good throughout the storytelling. The need for plot twists became the writers' flaw, not the actors' flaws so it is tolerable. Overall a solid 8 - worth watching as a filler. Believable romance story.

I read the ending was incomplete with cut scenes so we don't know what happen to the other characters? Does anyone…
Would not be fair for me to disclose if you are going to watch the drama. It did end as if someone just fell off a cliff in the fog. No real ending for me.
On Love and Destiny Nov 11, 2019
Finally finished -- it started as an up and down drama but finished so strong I gave it a 10. THe music is epic and the acting was extremely good. Now that it is over - want more and more.

Ha Ha - still 2 generations -----You are really deep in your analysis and enjoyed reading. Maybe another "controversial" drama with many opposing opinions will be aired soon. I enjoy reading comments. You have a youthful and mature response -- love both. You have a great day - enjoying windy Florida today. Totally retired .....

I love this new addition. Many times younger viewers love a drama and I have wasted time watching then dropping. As an older person, I sometimes enjoy dramas with more substance and romance than fantasy. The rating system by age helps me analyze whether I might enjoy the drama before starting. Thanks for adding this feature.

I really loved how you described the drama from your pov. We share the same perspectives about it. Most people…
Thank you for your reply. When you stated my pov -- I was curious to find out how old you are -- I have to be 2 generations older than you. Many people condemned her as cheating -- but the writer was shrewd and had them keep a seductive but predictable distance over the majority of the episodes to make sure the issue of infidelity to an engagement would not make many hate the main lead. Although many comments were not pleased with her. However, as the writer finally concludes -- "all that appears golden is not gold". In life, while dating - especially when young many encounter this problem - that is why DIVORCE is really popular in many countries -- In my younger days I was a divorce lawyer and the problems were endless and unimaginable. Being married can be the dullest most challenging thing in your life. The engagement ups and downs are a good testing ground and this story _ Before We Get Married was a good prospective. That is one reason I really enjoyed it -- temptation is one of the first things and the most devastting thing you encounter in all relationships. Better before marriage than after.

I was watching the "Voice" cuts on Youtube before I read your article. I told my husband - this could not be a Korean idol show No one looked like Ken or Barbie. Bullying, body shaming, ridicule, stalking by media, fake news and just the invasion of privacy of artists in Korea is unimaginable in many countries. It seems there is no such word as "freedom to be a human being" once you are recognized by the press, production companies, and the music industry as a dollar bill in someone's pocket. Too many artists are turning to suicide as a solution to this problem. If there is one piece of dirty laundry to sniff out the hound dogs begin closing in like rabid scavengers. I have cried so much just thinking of another person killing themselves -- having feelings of no hope for the future. I cry every time I think of Jonghyun of Shinee (one of my favs and the threat of death of TOP from Big Bang -- my all time fav) . This is where I may deviate from many opinions. At the ripe old age of 15-30, you need your loving parents to protect you more than a corporation. A guardian who has the strength to support the artist - decrease the exposure to public media , tweets/Instagrams, etc. Sulli law should be implemented and everyone one that posts should be required to divulge their email, IP address or be BLOCKED from posting comments. No more avatars -- put real people standing squarely behind what they say and the ultimate consequence of their words. Your article is powerful - LOVED IT!!!!!
