his cruelty is his own downfall. knowing saeron is out of work and couldn't pay, and yet he forced her to cough…
Won Bin, the actor who played the man saving Saeron's character in the movie "The Man from nowhere" was the one who offered to pay the debt. It was refused. He saved her in the movie but couldn't save her in real life. He showed up at her funeral. This world is so messed up.
Omg, so glad I never liked his page. He said he wanted to marry a 21 yo when he'll be 41, now I know why. I thought he was joking but nope. Ugh When the rumors started about him during his drama Queen of Tears, I thought they were fake news or maybe not so serious. I had my doubts and waited for more facts, but now I drop it. His dramas are clearly successful thanks to the Fls anyways, put any other actor, it would be the same success.
Omg, autumn's concerto? I remember watching this drama a long time ago, that brings nostalgia XD. There was a moment I was all about those secret kid stories, I watched a few dramas like that.
There are clichés and clichés. It's how it's done. Besides I was talking about clichés usually found in novels. This kdrama adapted from a novel is no surprise to me. I immediatly thought of a novel watching this. I was enumerating the clichés you can find in a novel like this. Someone leaked some chapters of that novel on mydramalist, I read some, typical romance with some smut if you wanna read it. Korean novels usually have a more solid plot than Chinese web novels for example. Japanese novels have more imagination but more wtf moments too. Try some. It's like those isekai novels/webtoons with a villainess self insert reincarnated falling in love with the Duke of the North
Main girl is the weakest link here. I can’t believe how obsessive she was at calling him in the car, that was…
If we have to be honest, if the characters were too sharp, there would have been no drama. I'm waiting for the final episode to make a final opinion Yeah, ML is far from a Mr. Grey, it's just the ost that reminds me of it. I honestly wouldn't have minded more steamy tension between FL and ML, have them show the viewers they are attracted to each other. Even when there are some supposedly hot scenes, I just feel nothing. Ml touching FL's thigh scene was meh. Romance better become good later on.
I watched this drama out of curiosity. The story is ok, Yoon Yeon Seok is one of my favorite actors, so watching his acting again is always a pleasure. I'm not quite familiar with the actress, I recognized her from the Pirates 2, she's quite good too. The plot is ok but a bit too much like lots of cheesy novels I used to read. The fact that the girl is not mute but faking it, I've seen it before. FL and ML had sad childhood and knew each others since they were kids, cliché. FL and ML in an arranged marriage with ML asking FL not to fall in love with him? Cliché. FL's mother is a golddigger and FL is not the daughter of a rich man but of a poor man who is actually sick, with a stepsister that's she's insecure with, cliché. SML playing the love rival but obviously ending up with bubbly personality girl? Cliché
Not to forget the lack of survival skills. FL's nearly got kidnapped, got stabbed in the neck and had her car hacked by a crazy fella, but still go around her day, no paranoia whatsoever. Worse, she uses her kidnapper's phone to blackmail her husband and fake being her kidnapper. If it were me, I would have entirely changed my car , let's take an old car, at least I would be sure it couldn't get hacked. Well actually, if it were me, I wouldn't have played the mute girl and lied to my husband about it, I can hardly lie, so it's difficult to relate to that character. I understand the character, but it's hard to relate to her. I understand she was hurt by her husband's words but that's a clear lack of common sense.
As for the ML, he's quite self-centered. I can't relate to him, but only on some points, he's got a brain sometimes unlike his wife. Am I the only one thinking that if I got stuck in an arranged marriage with someone mute who relies on sign language to make themselves understand, I would have tried to learn it as well? It's not only easier for the partner, but also if I'm getting suspicious of them, I would know if they were doing smthg suspicious behind my back. Not understanding a language can be a weakness. Of course, now ML is gonna learn sign language for the romance plot.
Overall it's a good drama to watch, I found the first episode a bit cringe, even more with the cringy music, it sounds like one of those cringy movie like 50 shades of grave. The more you go into the episodes, the better it gets. It's not a disappointment, quite the contrary
Lol, well congratulations are in order, dude was hitting 50's with no news of him getting settled and having kids, I thought he would join the new celebrity club of old bachelors ans bachelorettes with no kids in South Korea. That club was getting big.
While I was watching this drama, I thought all along that it's a great drama for old people. Don't get me wrong, it's just my past experiences dealing with my grandparents that gave me this feeling. The plot mainly focuses on the romance between the parents and their relationships with their kids, mostly the daughter. The drama presents common problems that families encounter: money. You see how the parents are learning to become better even when their kids are already adults. I wouldn't say it's a fluff genre but it resembles.
I don't understand the critics on the FL's acting, she had subtle expressions, not exagerated ones, and for a character who's supposed to be a workaholic, only surviving on caffeine and barely sleeping, I don't see where was the acting wrong with it. Believe me, when you don't have any energy, you can barely smile or shout, you only have a tired face bc of work. I thought it was quite accurate.
The romance with the CEO's son was ok, it added more to the fluff genre. A nice ML, with some tragic background but not something exagerated, his relationship with his "father" was also different and actually refreshing from other dramas that like to put a rivalry somewhere. In this case, you could see family bonds between them and genuine care about each others.
All in all, it was a good watch but it lacked some pacing. I recommend this drama for people who just want to relax and don't want to watch something overcomplicated. 8/10 imo.
I watched lots of movies on this list. I can vouch that it's a very good list. Some of the movies that I didn't watch brought my interest. Thanks for making something solid.
It was a good movie. The characters were kept simple. The hero is always the kid of some chicken restaurant owner. The fight scenes were ok, you could believe it, most of the time. The main character wasn't made too op, and actually suffered some injuries. They didn't portray the job of parole officers as rosy at all, the death of one of the characters and the injuries sustained by others gave a reality of the risks that jobs like that can cause.
Except for one villain, ( the one who tried to k*** himself), the other villains were portrayed in one dimension: evil. And I liked it that way. Most of the crimes committed by them were of SA/G**ape kind, especially on younger people. This movie is kind of a continuity of other movies that denounced how SA/pdf crimes weren't heavily punished in Korea (check "Silenced" or "Hope"). The fact that the perpetrator, who was released on parole, committed a crime right away after his release and showed no remorse, then got his ass kicked by the ML, was done on purpose. It was meant to say that predators continue to be dangerous and cannot be forgiven, only their ass needs to be kicked.
This movie conveyed quite a strong message against SA crimes, and I appreciated that.
It was quite satisfying to see the villains getting their ass kicked. The movie also conveyed a message that citizens can also help fighting against crimes, for example by making the friends of ML help him arrest the villain and getting a reward afterwards. It's a positive movie that encourage people to help others in order to fight against unforgivable crimes. As such, I'll rate it a 9,5/10. Minus the music.
Well written drama, amazing acting, they kept the plot simple and satisfying. I recommend it for people who like watching office work life. There was a subtle hint of bromance. Loved the chemistry.
I'm quite enjoying watching this drama. It's simple and the way the characters are remind me of work life.
You always have young newbies with naive ideas, young newbies with more cautious behavior, the middle aged woman colleague that is soft but experienced, the shady gossip coworker or the silent friendly coworker, not to mention the strict boss manager that is well experienced.
I like this kind of office drama, it's simple, not flashy, you understand the issues and you know where the plot is going now that there are 2 episodes left. It's also a great opportunity for new actors to work alongside experienced actors. Shin Ha Kyun delivers it so well. His chemistry with the VP actor is on point.
I recommend this for people who like a nice drama that focuses on work life and solid writing. By solid I mean there are no huge plotholes. People may complain about Lee Jung Ha's character, but that's the purpose of his character. He's meant to play a young naive nice guy who thinks the best of everyone and holds high expectations about them with big hopes. It's meant to contrast with Shin Ha Kyun's character an older more experienced man who only relies on facts and evidence, remains suspicious of everyone to the point he often acts by himself and it's the others that decide to tag along with him. It's the classic youth with no experience vs the old with more experience.
The young one is there to remind the old one to stop acting like a lone wolf and rely on others for the job, while the old one is there to remind the young one to not judge things out of whims/ intuition but only on evidence. It's a good balance to make. Can't wait for the final episodes <3
Funny drama with lots of comedy but some gags get a bit tiring along the way. Fl is set as a veterinian but her job starts to be less important in the next episodes to focus more on the detective side of the story. This is quite a shame honestly. I love animals. Her naiveness adds comedy but sometimes I just found it annoying and unecessary. It was a bit too much sometimes. ML moodiness and military attitude was quite the contrast with her coward attitude. They made such an entertaining duo. The other characters were ok, loved the references to other drama like 21 25 lol; and of course that one quote: "With great power, comes great hair loss" XD.
It was funny as hell. Overall it was a funny entertaining and thrilling story, with a few share of flaws, mainly in the end. It was too much imo sometimes A solid 8,5/10 imo.
Each time I start to watch that drama, each time I end up dropping it at some episode. I'll never manage to finish it I guess, I literally don't understand all the hype about it. But it ain't bad at the same time, I guess it ain't my stuff.
When the rumors started about him during his drama Queen of Tears, I thought they were fake news or maybe not so serious. I had my doubts and waited for more facts, but now I drop it.
