jesus christ, for the international fans constantly harping and blaming korean culture, read the fucking room.…

Just the fact that some officials involved in the drug case got promoted the day before Lee Sun Kyung killed himself is telling something. From the start, the investigation they've done was fishy.
It's merely a theory, but I wouldn't be suprised they needed an easy public figure they could use for their own needs. If they suddenly backtracked on their affirmation that LSK did drugs, that wouldn't have been good for their promotion. Just a big harmless fish to catch to get promoted and hide things along the way. A chaebol family member was involved in this case, they didn't get the same treatment.

After 3 drug tests turned negative, they were still going with that narrative. Even after a 19 hours questionning. Wtf is that?
And then because the drug tests didn't work, an audio about him saying I love you to his supposed mistress was released. If he's not a drug addict, then he's a cheater. They really wanted to show to everyone that he wasn't a supposed righteous guy.
Cheating on his wife or not, is a problem that should be solved in private.
They needed LSK to continue being the scapegoat but probably didn't expect him to kill himself. Now his death is literally showing to everyone how they did such shady work.

It's like seeing wolves hunting a prey and tiring it until it dies. That was exactly the same thing.
Corruption is a problem in higher structures. This is a clear case of corruption for what I've seen so far.

Amazing drama, it kind of reminded me of Ghost of Christmas Past. It gives a moral and teaches lots of things. 9/10

Amidst all this tragedy, I think what I'm going to do is pay more attention to his wife's dramas and movies.

I think it would be the best way to support his grieving family.

Why are you guys blaming K-netizens??? You guys should be blaming K-media, the cops, paparazzis, etc. Just think…
Yeah, in one of my previous comment, I was questioning the police's way of working. Everything they've done was unbelievable. You don't leak information in an investigation like that. The drug investigation also involved a chaebol family, they never got that same treatment.

This case seemed as though he was used as a scapegoat by corrupted people to hide something, and the media with the cops would be accomplices.

Mental health is pretty much nonexistent in Korea (and in most Asian countries in general). They didn't have adequate…
Yeah I don't expect much from them. There's no shame on having mental health issues, but it's always a taboo in most of societies. That's why there's still so many cases that come up everyday.
We just live in a mad world.

He died on the 27th of December, not on the 2nd. Rest in peace anyway.

I'm really wondering how the police do their investigation in South Korea, don't they have psychologists there to evaluate if someone under investigation is suicidal?
Someone who admitted to take sleeping pills ( I mention sleeping pills here because it wasn't proven at all that he took drugs, his tests came negative) is someone who may have high chances to have psychological problems/ stress or depressive thoughts.
The outcome wasn't unexpected and the media didn't help at all with their continued onslaught.
For those kind of cases, the police should have kept it quiet.

It's not as if they don't have lots of alcoholics who pass out drunk in the middle of the street every night. Oops, they do. Maybe they should take care of that first.
There are even documentaries made about this issue. Shall I remind them that alcohol can cause addiction, the same as a drug?

Taking sleeping pills or drinking alcohol in an abusive way are the consequences of a problem. To solve it, they should look at the cause.

Title Happiness
I'm halfway through that drama and I already want some characters away,

- the idiot who films everything, he's got no brain
- the guy with glasses who did dirty to his wife and the girl who's tagging alongside him,
-the stupid lawyer,
- the stupid lady that wants to be residence representative,
-the idiots who immediatly give in when someone gives them money to go outside where there are zombies.
-the brother that is arguing all the time with his sister
-the handcuffed dude that sold drugs

I think there's a serious disease in this show that's spreading quite fast and it's people's stupidity.

The drama should have been named Idiozombies. Because everyone is an idiot.
No survival instinct at all, they only think about money.

What are they gonna do when a zombie faces them, throw them money? That ain't gonna work.

Natural selection is all for them. Too weak to survive for sure...

Person Han Hyo Joo
My respect for this actress, who has such a wide range of acting, is huge.
From girly to tomboy, from mother to villain, from pirate to queen, she does everything. You can feel the passion she has for acting. I wonder how she would fit in a political movie or drama. I think she would slay as well.

Drunk driving is a risk for people's life. But since Kmedia like to promote alcohol beverage and the act of consumming it in everything they can, from drama to tv shows, showing dangerous drunk behaviors sometimes, then I truly wonder how really useful their law is against that problem when everything under the public's eye does everything but deter them from it.

Promoting on media those games in which everyone try to see how much alcohol they can drink, to the point it could kill them, is plain stupid.

On The Handmaiden Dec 11, 2023
I watched this movie out of curiosity, I had a friend who actually watched it on theater, it was during a time I wasn't much interested in Kmovies, nor in Kdramas.
For years, I never watched it because the plot sounded meh, even more after knowing the screenwriter wrote Little Women, a drama that I heavily disliked for its stupid nonsense.

Finally I decided to watch it , and I liked it. The cinematic and music were pretty well done, the plot was also done in a good way, I can see some written scenes from the screenwriter similar to Little Women in the way it's done. But that movie was much more better than the drama in every way.

The acting was also pretty well done, It was interesting to hear the POV of the Handmaiden, the FL, from time to time.
What was interesting about this movie was how it showed the perverted side of men abusing women. This movie had no honest man character, all of them were twisted, crooked perverts abusing their power over women, who showed us how they managed to survive through this ordeal, during a time in which women had little to none power.

The love interest was a rich heiress, who would have been pretty much independant in modern times, but in this era was unable to emancipate herself, and had to indulge the whims of old perverts.

The love between the 2 women was central in that story to show how they went through this. Both of them supported each other through the love they share with each other and joined hands to fight against the perverts.

I would rate it a 8,5/10.
