This drama is written just like a book, presenting characters and giving them depths.

There are so many messages and hints left in the conversations or in the settings, with great colored themes and allegories, lots of references towards historical events.

It drives you to work your brain.

It's quite a shame that some people only see the surface and don't look in its depth.

There are no adults because it was done on purpose.
The bullied girl is actually an adult and the boss of the NIS. She doesn't age, she made herself bullied to the point that people would want to interfere. She's an expert manipulator.
What she wanted was to make Hee Soo reveal her powers by driving her to fight against the bullies. Since she knew what her dad's powers were, and that Hee Soo managed to survive a car accident that killed her mom, she knew that Hee Soo would survive that fight.

Hee Soo's psychology was clearly analysed by her, she knew Hee Soo would involve herself at some point because she couldn't stand a poor girl being bullied.
After that fight, they cornered Hee Soo and her father to get transfered to the school that evaluate in secret all the kids that could be gifted.

It was obviously because the NIS wanted all the records of gifted people and evaluate potential recruits.
This drama is a display of intelligence war between secret services who want to recruit superpowered individuals as their personal weapons.
That's why Frank, the CIA agent started to kill all the gifted SK agents and looked for their kids, since they could inherit their gifts.
In later episode, it's the North Korean secret service and their gifted agents that get involved.

Lee Sang Yeob haters have taken over this page. 🤪I didn't even know he had haters until now. Though I suppose…
They probably shipped him with Jessi and got disappointed that it was not her.
Or maybe they didn't like the characters he played in kdramas.

Whatever the reason, congrats to him. May he have a blessed married life.

Title Squid Game
Honestly, from what I remembered after watching that drama is that I wanted the same smartphone than that cop, its battery lasted for so long.
The characters were boring, didn't get attached to them at all, they would end up dead like flies in one minute after all.

It's just a drama for people who like to watch countless people die in gruesome ways I guess, just like the VIPs.

I won't comment on those VIPs and their ridiculous carnevale masks. They were quite mistaken about their masks, they should have chosen pig like masks because they all looked and joked like pigs.

I have to admit that I prefered the parodies and memes over the real drama.
What a shame that a giant squid didn't show up in the end to eat them all, mainly the VIPs.

With his new haircut, I expected the main character to dance some KPOP choreography.
1/10 for me.
1 because there's only one left.

I agree, one of the reason I dropped western shows for Asian shows. With the way Disney destroyed the Star Wars…
Honestly, it takes no effort to outperform Squid Game in every way possible. Don't know what the hype was all about.
Streaming sites and the companies that own them should focus on one thing: just host the shows for the viewers and promote them correctly. What Disney and other companies like to do instead is involving themselves in the writing of those shows by dictating pointless scenarios and ordering the creation of pathetic characters.
And then they wonder why they go downhill. There's no freedom of creativity when a show is too tightly held under their thumb. I truly wonder, maybe, it was better that they weren't that much involved in promoting Moving, they probably didn't care that much about that show, so much more freedom for the writer.

But now, I honestly hope they won't involve themselves too much in the making of Moving season 2. Just let the writer Kang Full do his stuff.
Everything Disney touches nowadays, they destroy it. I can't forgive them for what they did to Star Wars and all of their old movies. And it would be nice if they cleared up their site management, what the hell is wrong with them to make this show unavailable in some countries?

Oh my goodness why so pressed about my opinion ?
I'm mad at nowadays western shows. Why do you think I mentioned the Star Wars franchise?
What I'm saying is the truth, nowadays I prefer Kdramas over western shows because the story sucks.
I relate more to a Kdrama about teenagers studying for their exams and worrying about their future than Euphoria and its drug issues. I'd rather watch the entire trilogy extended of the Lord of the Rings made 20 years ago in a row rather than watch the Witcher series.

Why being so surprised to see Kdrama fans on a website made for them?
You're so agressive when I didn't even bother about your whereabouts.
Live your life far away from kdrama fans then.

I dropped this show to watch Moving but I feel so lazy to continue it. Besides I checked the spoilers, the killer is the most obvious one. Well whatever

Oh boy, next they will start dictating what ideologies and what plots to show in SK dramas with their investment…
I agree, one of the reason I dropped western shows for Asian shows. With the way Disney destroyed the Star Wars franchise with pathetic plots. Even their classics get destroyed by their hands.
They suck at writing plots and creating convincing stories. Just stop being leech of the Korean market please. They couldn't even properly promote it when it was airing.
I truly hope Kang Full's gonna keep a tight control on his story, less it's gonna turn into some big mess.

Nice movie to watch, some boring moments sometimes, the best parts were probably at the end with the big fights. Amazing acting from the main actors. I was cheering them when they were fighting.

As for the nude scenes, well, it didn't bother me, not that much, I just felt like watching some science documentary. It's just some butts but I nearly fell asleep at some point.
A bonus for the music and the costumes that were pretty to hear and see.

The ending was probably the best part of the movie, absolutely tragic ! so tragic! (*laughs in Mr.Omar's voice*). Lots of intense emotion there.
It's a solid 8.5/10 imo.

In episode 20, the North Korean agent mentioned to his superior that this conflict repeated itself for 50 years, that North Korea sent Kim Shinjo first and then South Korea sent Kim Doo Sik after.

Am I the only one who thinks it hints on a background for the Kim family story?
Does that mean that Kim Doo Sik is Kim Shinjo's son? Which would make Kim Doo Sik NK from his father.
Is the NK agent who can fly related to them then?
Kim Doo Sik mentioned that when he was a baby, he could fly, that his father left him a knife, and that all his life he lived in the shadows. Why does it seem as though he was raised by the NIS? Maybe the leader boss of the NIS, the woman who doesn't age is involved in this, she most likely was there 50 years ago and planned it thorough.

This drama left me more questions unanswered than I thought.
It was truly amazing. I loved it all, the stories were so impactful.

It also opened a new perspective of the superhero genre.
Most of the time, stories about heros are about saving the world, the characters fight against a supervillain, either a crazy scientist or a rich dude that just wants to control the world.

But here, it shows more the perspective of what if people with powers were discovered by their governments, and what if those governments used them as weapons for their own conflicts?

Superpowered people are the new weapons of the countries, in the same way that nuclear bombs are. They work in the shadows for the sake of their countries.
This drama presents the start of an arm race between governments and how this arm race neglects the rights of the humans involved, and it shows this in a beautiful way through the lives of those families involved that struggle to protect their own.

It leaves a beautiful message about human rights and the fact that human beings are not meant to be weaponized or used in anyway.
