I remembered when I watched Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon in 2016, I loved the drama so much that I watched it again a few more times. When I heard about a sequel, I was wondering what it will be about.
As I was watching the first episode, I could tell this was quite promising. I was laughing quite a lot while watching this. The beginning of this episode with Mongolian music was absolutely awesome. I love Mongolian music, especially The Hu band ^_^, the clothes in Mongolia and the landscape shooting was absolutely amazing. I quite loved that part.
That Gangnam Style reference and the pictures of Cha Eun Woo that Gang Nam Soon drooled about were also quite funny. Idk if it doesn't make fun of foreign girls who wanna marry a Korean guy because of Kdramas or Kpop XD. This was so hilarious.
The mom looks badass and hot, the granny seems so funny, and the main girl looks so cute. I absolutely love her hairstyle with those traditionnal braids. It makes her look like a figure from ancient times, a warrior that came back from far away to save the world. I absolutely love it! I also like that even though this drama is about female power, the male characters are not neglected, and are actually quite important, especially the father. I love when both father and mother characters are well represented in a drama.
Honestly, I had mixed opinions about her acting, I always thought she was good at portraying a tough woman and doing action stuff, but in romance she was lacking.
And right now, I'm watching Unexpected business season 1 episode 10 and holy shit! She's too shy. I was watching her being all quiet, she was like a mouse. Now I know why in romance she's struggling so much. Girlie, you need to be more self confident, show more emotions. She keeps all her feelings, her opinions, inside herself, she doesn't start discussion, she waits for others to start it. Such an introvert girl but she seems genuinely nice. Fighting!
Didn't Disney's CEO (Bob Iger) say they were going to take it easy with the culture war mongering or something?…
Your comment reminds me of when I watched that movie Venom. The main character spent his time having love scenes with his gf. They told each other that they love each other and then they broke up and she quickly found a new guy. I was like wtf?🤨 Those scenes were so unnecessary at this point lol.
I'll also add on an old series that I immediatly dropped, it's quite ancient but it's Grey's Anatomy. During the first episodes, there are people sent in emergency because of an accident, one of the patient was a young father with O type blood who died, and quickly one of the doctor who's also a main character was enthusiast on having his organs, and then she asked to the new widow and her young daughter if they could have his organs and his skin too in such a way that it was disgusting to watch. I can't stand a main character like that. I dropped it immediatly, the lack of morals that was shown was disgusting.
I could rant on other series that had disturbing scenes like this but I think I gave enough examples.
It's like a classic novel! People who find the early episodes boring have never read classic books and thus don't…
Some people just watch for the sake of watching, they don't want to work their brain that much and only understand the main points of the story without delving deeper into the message that the story is supposed to leave behind. They just want to be entertained without thinking too much.
I think it mainly concerns people who aren't that much interested in the field of literature nor have a deep understanding of art out of disinterest.
I also had the same feeling when I read some comments, I was wondering if we actually watched the same thing. I think they watched the drama but didn't understand it at all.
I honestly found better analysis of this drama on twitter ironically. XD
Fillers are usually unrelated to the main plot and the writer add them just to extend the story and serves no…
As a proud Narutard, fillers are different from flashbacks. Flashbacks in Naruto are mainly a sign that Talk No Jutsu is working.
The Flashback about Kushina and Minato's love story was one of the best. I also loved Madara and Hashirama's flashback. Then there was the flashback about Zabuza and Haku, not to forget Nagato's flashback, Itachi's story and flashback.
I read both the entire manga and watched the entire anime, including the fillers, besides the movies of course. I'm still in the middle of reading Boruto but the story ain't that good, too many Mary Sue characters.

With the Hollywood strikes that has been going on, it's quite obvious that Hollywood is in crisis, and for a long time. Imho, the AI issue was the last straw that broke the camel's back.
For some time, lots of show were lacking passion in their writings and scenarios. Western entertainment focused mainly on making sequels upon sequels on movies or first season of a series that actually worked with the public. The big issue is that it led to milk those movies and series to the point of destroying the stories they were built on. Some series had their next season canceled, with no proper endings when the viewers found it lacking and dropped it out of disappointment.
There's also a lack of new ideas and imaginations and to fill the blanks, they put pointless scenarios that give nonsense. That kills all enthusiasm to continue watching it.
Honestly, this year, the only western movie that I appreciated in its writing was Puss in Boots the Last Wish. Whereas the new Indiana Jones was a big flop.
With an industry in crisis, they are obviously turning towards a new market that is thriving at the moment, the Hallyu wave. The main problem is that they shouldn't bring what caused their own crisis to this industry.
What's intelligent about Kdramas is the limit of episodes to tell a story, to give a proper conclusion. They have their own recipe that works imo. Even when the ending is not that satisfying, it still gives the viewers satisfaction to see the end.

I can't wait for the next episode now!
Congrats.

Let's just see what will happen next as for now.
