I am dreading his appearance in Forever and Ever... he was such a turd that even though he definitely owes them a debt from a previous life I just don't want him around them. And I don't buy that childhood crap bc the princess was the one who actually was there for him and supported him through thick and thin - I think they end up together in the future but yuck again I don't think he deserves a HEA. He should just be a sad wandering ghost forever.
The plot has more holes than Swiss cheese tbh. The only reason he could have had it all was to keep Shiyi by his side and he would have had ZSC's support. But once ZSC selected the child emperor, he would i) never been made regent - its usually the mother or some high ranking minister that does NOT have a direct line to the throne, ie no conflict of interest and ii) his engagement with Shiyi should have been immediately broken once he was made regent bc with Cui family backing, of course he would feel he can seize the throne. Like ZSC, while he was regent he should have been made to make a vow not to marry or father children to take the incentive to usurp away. They needed to hire another writer who knows how to write political plots bc MBFB doesn't she is just a great romantic writer. I could go on but I think the point is made wrt the political plot makes no sense when you drill down into it.

She had already accepted her fate to marry him in the hope that she would be able to help reduce his distrust for Nanchen wang and make him an ally instead over time. His crazy ass jealousy blinded her to the fact that she would have done her duty if she could keep Nanchen army safe and keep getting their battle reports. That is the problem with falling for a picture and not knowing the person.

Its the words from Shanglin Fu, an ancient poem about sex or about the joining of the souls when beauty yields. I am not sure how they translated it. It was the calligraphy she was writing on the library wall, where she stumbles / forgets how to recite a key phrase. I was laughing thinking oh very naughty shifu, very, very naughty. I quoted one of the famous lines at the end of my review - ่ฒๆ้ญไธ (se shou hun yu).

Lol well it may be cheesy even though they snuck it in at many moments in this drama... its the Western equivalent of ๆไบฎไปฃ่กจๆ็ๅฟ - it is played at practically EVERY Western wedding I have been too... I am sure there are many other better options but I am not the best person on this kind of stuff.

Well idk about OSTS but they played Pachebel's Canon in D as bgm in many moments and I think there are many long arrangement of that you can consider. It would be uplifting of course because its wedding music.
