Douban initial feedback is already trashing him for non-standard Mandarin and poor line delivery. I am not suggesting ZSC prevent the wedding to grab Shiyi for himself but that is the only way to best protect the little emperor. As such a smart general whose own claim to the throne was viewed so suspiciously he should not be so naive wrt Guangling wang. I also don't think the court should have allowed this to happen for the same reasons. I don't want to overly nitpick but I do think the political plotting/writing/logic in this drama is not the best.
