To each their own but I would just point out that when the base is low - i.e., crybaby and ice cube, there is massive room for growth. When you start out with some substance to begin with, the scope for improvement is lower. That said, both Sun and Changge had to learn how to forgive some unspeakable wrongs, something your 2nd couple never had to experience. I liked both couples and think all the actors did a good job but one couple is fresh and unusual for Chinese dramas while the other is a well worn trope. Couldn't agree more that the lockdown has severely affected people's judgement, to the point they have completely lost self awareness they've been been affected. All very understandable during these tough times.

Its not a genre I am crazy about but there are some really good ones that I will watch. TLB is very special I think because Changge is such a fantastic and strong FL and Sun is man enough for her. I literally cannot think of another comparable pairing in c-drama although I hope it is the start of a new trend...

For sure she is far from annoying but I do hope that she shows at least a little bit of maturity and development in the coming episodes. No one should remain a wide eyed ingenue forever.
What is wrong with her? I didn't watch her dramas (only a few clips), but she made more movies than dramas.
Can't act - probably too afraid the camera catches her at an unflattering angle. Her own husband openly admits her acting skills leave a lot to be desired. But she is indeed terribly beautiful.
i really like drama like this with autopsy and staff, another drama that watched like this is Miss Truth
The FL in Miss Truth is much edgier and tough as nails but frankly not as likable although more believable as a coroner. The props for that was cringe. This has much better portrayal of autopsies but the FL is complete opposite in terms of personality.

Yups she marries, has kids and lives out her first life with someone else while he watches from afar. Its supposed to be sad but I didn't really feel it in the first arc.
