What a scam! How dare they bore us silly for 30+ episodes and then make us pay extra to watch? It is insult to…
In the past I was able to pay via iTunes Appstore on the local iQiyi app. It is just that outside of China there are sometimes airplay problems so I switched to the international version. I also think for iQiyi you are not locked to Alipay, they accept WeChat pay as well. Youku I don't know bc my friend in China pays for me. I don't see the extra episodes on iQiyi local or Youku yet btw.

You are right, even VIP needs to pay to watch I am just saying international VIP already costs a lot more they should get it for free.If you really want to watch it you can pay to view on the local site even if you are not a VIP. I have seen the option but I have never done it since I rarely have time to binge.

What a scam! How dare they bore us silly for 30+ episodes and then make us pay extra to watch? It is insult to the injury because the Chinese subscription costs much less than international. I switched my local iQiyi to the international because it has an ATV app I don't have to airplay from my ipad or computer but I am paying 50pct more for that convenience. They should just give international subscribers the extra episodes for free with normal VIP.

Methinks he protests too much... I suspect ultimately he is after the throne. He just doesn't trust anyone and he kows its a dangerous game and these strategists tend to have loose lips. He is eliminating the sects to make sure they don't intervene. And I am not sure he is eliminating all of them, just the ones that won't be used by him. That is why Huashan is safe but not Tou/ Moon Valley or Hall of Flames. And by dismantling the Hall of Flames he has cut off the supply of weapons to the military (after stealing a whole bunch for himself). The Imperial Advisor is loyal to the emperor so Tou and his father are in the way. He was playing chess with them to test them. That's just my working theory so far of motive but it is possible there is some other hidden agenda that has yet to emerge. The role is well acted.

He has a great face but they didn't give it any color. And he is so frail I feel like the wind can blow him away... Heck I can take him down in any fight!

I think Lord Lu is a zealot, which is scarier than a mere ambitious prince vying for the throne. I am also not convinced he is not after the throne - he just doesn't want to be crown prince or king in waiting. If he feels his father/brother does not fulfill his vision of what law and order or rulership should be, he will feel morally justified to grab the throne. His desire to suppress or control the martial world could also have ulterior motive. The Flame Hall has ability to manufacture arms and has significance to anyone planning to say raise an army.

For some reason I do kind of want to like this drama but I have to admit that if some viewers want to call it boring, I don't think it is entirely unfair. I find many parts boring and unnecessarily repetitive although there are many good things about it too and I wouldn't say it is boring in its entirety. That said, I think viewers should be honest about when there is clear water injection. Crittical viewer feedback discourages the industry from pulling this kind of nonsense, especially when it impacts the rating. I am a busy person I have to make time for this stuff so I am very harsh when I feel my time is being wasted.

Indeed... we were just speculating as to whether its a child actor or a real adult dwarf actor that is playing the character. Great villain!

LOL... we all have our crosses to bear - Tyrion Lannister is pretty much my favorite GOT character. I am usually not that chicken shit but I accidentally watched one of those real ones years ago and i have just freaked out at the fake ones ever since.

Heheh, my friend and I binged the first 5 today... got me through the bits that make my stomach turn. I do like it but everytime the map comes up I shake my head. Because regardless of whether they get it back they best redeploy their troops and rethink their military strategy. I chalked it down to lack of common sense or low survival instinc is why none of these pitiful little kingdoms lasted that long throughout Chinese history and kept watching. And I kind of like the dwarf and the whole Mad Max thing.

Not bad at all... some gigantic plot holes... like why reacquiring a defense map still matters after the enemy has eyeballed it many times. .. but it’s ok, gripping enough to suspend disbelief for now...

I really worry about this couple to be honest... If this is the way the handle small misunderstandings they are for sure doomed if something big happens.

Didn't she stay with him for quite awhile where they were left for long and intimate moments together? I had the impression his healing involved multiple sessions in the pool whether we saw only one or more I didn't count I was half numbed by their unending conversations that went nowhere... I didn't read the book either I just skimmed it but I recall they did a lot more than just talk. I don't care if the drama has them getting together later but my point is then don't fill the blank space with mindless conversation (this went on for countless episodes) just get the rest of the story moving. It is just lazy and possibly water injection intended scriptwriting and plot development.

That may be the case but at the drama has the feeling of a story where certain events were deleted and they filled in the blanks with conversation when rewriting and re-sequencing may have been harder work but would make the story more interesting and actually move. This perpetually has the feeling of something is missing. And some of it is kind of absurd like that the two of them were in a pool for days on end together and nothing really happens... Tou's thoughts may be on fire but it obviously didn't spread to his belly!!! Sigh!

Yes the plot is finally moving. I think this is one of those that I would have liked the book more than I am liking the drama. I know it is darker and sader but this is so whitewashed it is kind of boring.
