You are right. As much as I usually enjoy watching Allen Ren’s acting. In these first 2 episodes, his lines…

Wow they already uploaded 48 episode for vips but why ????
iQiyi lost $1,4bn usd in 2019 and 2020 may be worse because advertising is really bad. VIPs pay to watch so they get to watch first. It’s fair and truth is if not enough people pay eventually everyone goes bust and no more dramas....

this drama was filmed in 2018 before the new laws were released.
Heh... then we must surely watch at least one to see what the difference is... in the name of research of course!!!

Just started this. Is it supposed to be funny? Why does everyone including the usually sour face Allen Ren take…
There is attempted light humor but no, its a complicated somewhat dark story. Great fighting from the get go but the first two episodes just feel a bit off and then it comes together.

Lemme just say that even if they improvise, the only expression on the ML/FL face may be fear... I just think until there is a vaccine/cure probably best not to watch romance made after 2020...

It takes awhile to get used to a chatty Ren Jialun and the cast took awhile to get into character but by #4 it seems to be clicking. He is a very chatty dude in real life, I think I was just too used to seeing him as a silent type. I am happy to see him take on roles with different personalities. And he definitely gained weight but he wears it so well it is actually adorable! Loving the second male lead too, he has an interesting face. This story has quite dark undertones and is complicated, hope it doesn't get too convoluted. First two episodes were a bit on the weak side and definitely the love at first sight or whatever wasn't well done but it is worth watching a few before deciding to drop.

Is it the hairstyle or did Ren Jialun gain some weight? His face looks much less grumpy and sort of rounder here...

if you were to choose between this and the legend of Jinyan, which one would you watch?! which FML is less irritating…
Neither if you find both girls irritating...

I feel Tou and Xue Zhi has opposite character development. I like Tou in the beginning, but he gets nonsense as…
Yeah ultimately they didn't have a great, well thought out script here and per @Madison Phan below the director was probably sloppy. I wish they just re-make some of the classics instead of wasting time and money on these half baked stories...
The guy in LL2M is just a plank.

Well done!!! I am still angry they didn't kill Lord Lu.
I understand but especially given what has been happening in the world, this elitist concept that someone can be above the law and justice just feels wrong. I know it may be realistic for ancient times but this show ending is just rubbing it in my face at the wrong time.

LOL - I am not a fan of the fan either... It is just so signature Ouyang Feng I just never want the MLs to use…
The only one I watched was the 1984 Miu Kiuwai version on VCD but I don't have a player anymore... I can't bear to part with it because Simon Yam was in it too. When I was living in the US I used to get so homesick I went to Chinatown and bought every Chinese drama I could find and I still have piles of shows I can't even play anymore.

The last kiss was the best but to be honest, very few of the well known FLs go all in on the kiss scenes. The younger and lesser known actresses seem more adventurous. Not that there is gonna be much more of that post covid...

Yeah and I was kind of upset he basically demands she gives up her sect because in his opinion all she really wants is to live an idle life with him and their kids in Moon Valley. Like why can't they be at both places and have some responsibilities? What a turkey.

In Love Lasts Two Minds, Yuqi out-acted her ML, she was clearly the stronger actor. In this one, Yunxi out acted her - he is just a lot better and she is not on par with him in terms of skill, especially in emotional scenes. It is interesting because he should be pulling her up but it is kind of disappointing that he didn't. I didn't think she was bad, she just didn't excel.
