Indeed but that is hardly compatible with the requisite skills of a true crime solver, that lack of insight and inability to see the shades of grey. Maybe the division of labor is appropriate - she deals with cadavers and forensic "facts" while XS analyses the human nature aspects. Makes her very limited though, barely worthy of the Miss Truth title.

Let's hope not. If things don't start to happen soon I give up. They can have season 2 and 3 without me.

I am very confused about MYF's origins. I keep thinking MYF may be somehow related to Hongyi? Why was he with her family in the beginning when they were outcast and why does he have the same necklace that she has? The one left to her by her mother. Is it a symbol of some relationship that he has one too or were they engaged when they were children?

Thx, that's good to know she will grow on me... Judgy is indeed a great way to describe her - I mean I don't dislike her and maybe as you say, she just isn't written to be an easily likable a character.

Neither so far... I am not sure I like HER yet so I kind of don't care yet who gets the girl... I know she is new actress so am cutting her some slack but sometimes she is borderline bitchy and annoying to the ML. But I am still early in the show, she probably (hopefully) improves.

If you are re-watching it, you may want to consider watching it on Dramacool instead. The only reason I suggest that is I believe Dramacool's subtitles are from Astro and while not perfect, I think they are quite a bit better than Amazon Prime/Youtube version. For this show, good subs are really very important.

I think he was incensed the Baili family was willing to sacrifice her to Hao Ye and he was really chastising Hongshou and thinks he is unworthy of her. But watch 26 first and see if you still think so. I really don't want to spoil you and I need to finish it myself - I fell asleep after watching a few minutes of it.
Btw, Ming Yefeng is my favorite character so far and I think he deserves better than that horrible wolf girl so I have nothing against Hongyi ending up with him. But the story is now starting to take shape and I think I can see where it is going to go from here. If I am right then she probably ends up with Hongshou.

This is supposedly a school project or homework for Beijing Film Academy students so we shouldn't expect the most polished product here. I don't think they had huge budget these are probably used costumes from other productions. She is so tiny she looks like a kid wearing her mama's clothes.... LOL!!!

Ming Yefeng has indicated a few times that his interest in Hongyi is not romantic. I don't think he is an outright liar although he may not tell you everything. I also think they may be somehow related, his origins are still murky. I could be wrong but that is my impression so far.

I feel the same way but I just put in on hold for now - I got up to 26 but just couldn't make it past the mind numbing handkerchief monologue. The story is suppose to get very good from here but I am done with watching fillers. I will wait for good detailed recaps out so that I know what parts to watch and can fast forward through the rest without getting lost in terms of story-line.

She will not have a romantic relationship with Ming Yefeng but whether she ends up with Hongshou is still unknown. 25 and 26 are out and that should be it for this week.
