Unless you are watching on a bigger than 55 inch TV, you won't be able to tell the difference between 1080p and 4k. And even on my 65 inch, its not a huge difference. But when I watch on my bros 80 inch I can see the difference. So unless you have such a giant screen, its not worth the trouble to get 4k if its not easily available. On a small device like an ipad or a phone, sometimes the lower resolution looks better. That is why the pirate sites may be giving you better picture - they are at most 720k.

I haven't seen the split tower in this drama yet but it is possible that the plot-lines between BR and TBOY will converge.

He's a dark soul that doesn't expect any redemption.

In his heyday, he got lots of main roles. He's just aged out at this point with few good main roles for actors his age.

In Dashing Youth, SMY should be barely 20. Blood River takes place 10 years later, so he should be around 30. GJ is age appropriate. TBOY starts about 8 years after Blood River. SMY should be just short of 40 at that point.

Well the Anhe organization is not the main focus of TBOY so Blood River has a lot of scope to flesh it out. From what we have seen so far, it seems like both Changhe and SMY are Nameless orphans so while they can rise within the organization, there is a glass ceiling- i.e., they can't be Patriarch and probably not even a family head. I think they both want to get rid of that bc its not fair. I also think most of them want Anhe to become legit; i.e., come out of the darkness into the light but in order to make change they first must take over. They just probably differ in their methods are different - SMY wants to continue to honor their oath of loyalty whereas Changhe is willing to seize power by any means. We will have to see how it all gets resolved between them. I think its very hard for an assassin organization to become a legitimate sect. I suspect Changhe's approach ultimately was to ally himself with a Prince that seize the throne, thereby gaining recognition and legitimacy for the sect. But he backed the wrong prince and they did evil things, stepping further into darkness instead of into light. Whereas SMY probably recognized it was best to just disband, free everyone from their oaths and go their separate ways.

In TBOY, Changhe is the head of Blood River and Su Muyu is the head of the Su family. Changhe/Blood River supports a rebel prince plot to seize the throne, including cultivating medicine men (robot killers). Su Muyu ends up killing him and disbanding Blood River. If the storylines converge with TBOY, then that is how this drama will end. If not, they can just end this story before TBOY begins, with Changhe becoming the patriarch. I read online somewhere they will converge the plot lines but its hard to say how reliable that source was.

I think they will be revealed during the drama to be some of the characters we see in their other roles. But its just my guess idk anything I didn't read the novel.

I think they will. Dashing Youth also deviated on several fronts from TBOY. And they can always end this story well before TBOY starts. But I read somewhere that they will converge the time lines.

Yups me too - I don't have big complaints so far, just think the character rapport could be better.

Yeah the problem is the novelist wrote TBOY first and then went back and wrote Dashing Youth and Blood River. So many of the character endings are pre-determined.

I doubt it. Don't think any of the assassins will end up with anyone. Its a lonely profession.

I think its best to watch them in the sequence they unfold - so Dashing Youth first, then Blood River and finally Blood of Youth. Otherwise you are going to get spoiled some of the endings for characters/relationships. But I think you can also just watch Blood River and then Blood of Youth and go back to watch Dashing Youth as the prequel - its the most disconnected from the other two. And tbh its the weakest one in the series so if you start with it, you may not want to continue.

Quite sure Changhe's story here is a villain origin story.

I believe they are the spy and enforcement arm of the organization. All the assassination jobs seem to come through them. I suspect they have double identities and move about freely in their organization or in jianghu or even in the court to gather information etc.
