He should be Xiao Se’s brother. Xiao Se is the 6th prince. His blind brother in TBOY is the 2nd prince.

I suspect that Ruofeng may die in Blood River but I don’t think SCH or SMY have anything to do with it. As SMY points out it is too dangerous to kill him, they’d be hunted and killed dead. In the end it is only his brother the emperor who was able to do that and even then there were consequences. I liked him in TBOY but after I saw what he had done to YWJ and YDZ in DY, I just feel it was karma.

I am usually a huge fan of the show not tell kind of storytelling but at this point, this is losing my interest. As we speed through new arcs and characters, too many questions are left unanswered. To the point now that the deliciously enigmatic protagonist just seems to be like that to just to annoy the heck out of the audience. At this point, I start to want to sock him in the face every time he cocks his head and throws off another evasive and mysterious comment.

Tbh it doesn't matter - the difference between 10k and 10.5k is a few cents RMB/view. Advertisers are super stingy they don't pay much at all in this economy.

Can't be used to compare across platforms bc everyone's formula is different and uses different weights for different metrics. They also change over time based on advertiser feedback so even on the same platform they are not strictly that comparable over time.

As I said, he is a neutral figure. He just makes sure that the law of the land and edicts are enforced. He may have his views but he doesn't openly intervene in factional fights. Tbh had he intervened, maybe Ruofeng would be emperor.

The chancellor should be a central, neutral figure. I don't think anyone sent him. He just enforces the law of the land. He would never be in cahoots with assassins like BR.

The Eunuch Zhu Qing was one of the key antagonists in Dashing Youth. He is now the former head director of the 5 eunuchs who control access to the emperor and meddle frequently in court affairs. However, when the past emperor died, Zhu Qing was sent to guard the mausoleum until his dying day. By law, he cannot step out of the mausoleum ever. But he is discontented and still very powerful behind the scenes. He is scheming to obtain his release from the mausoleum and continues to intervene in state affairs. He probably has a deal with the first prince that if he helps him ascend, he will be released from guarding the tomb. The State Preceptor knows this and is there to make sure he cannot meddle that night.

Its the battle of the idol actors... and GJ knows full well neither Cheng Yi nor LYX are going to try to match and even raise him one on that.

For the time being they are - they both want to make Anhe a legitimate sect and erase their dark past, free themselves from their controllers. But that is more SCH's dream than SMY. SMY would rather just disband Anhe and investigate the No-Sword City's downfall and revive it.

I would add that Lord Langya dies 4 years before TBOY begins. So I expect Blood River to cover that part.

My personal fav assassin in the story so far. I like his King of Hell even better than his Scorpion King.

I think it’s only an interesting story if they show how and why he goes dark. And when he and SMY turned against each other. All of that was skipped over in TBOY.
