Its debatable - FYX/we won't ever know his true intention as it never played out. But I kind of believe he meant what he said. XJS may have lied to him. I also don't think XJS ever meant to kill FSG, just capture him and hold him as a hostage at Jinxiu so that Susha would surrender to them. Princes never get killed when they are captured - they are much more valuable alive.
MY claims his plans were never directed at harming FSG. And it doesn't make sense that MY would plan the battle on the Pingling side - that is purely XJS's territory. You can say he is a traitor but you can also say he is freeing his country from an unfit ruler.🤷🏻♀️😃
So far, the full extent of MY's collaboration with XJS is unknown but it looks like neither side fully shared their plans with each other. We do know however that it was XJS's plan to use his citizens as bait to lure FSG into the city so I mostly hold him accountable for that. MY knows FSG well and may have assured XJS that FSG would never actually kill civilians who are btw XSJ's citizens and not MY or FSG's citizens. I don't think MY would make a better ruler than FSG but if we are choosing between the weakling 2nd prince and MY, its a no brainer bc with him at the throne, the kingdom falls for sure. Not to mention FSG won't be able to ride off into the sunset with FYX, he is going to have to risk his life every day protecting the benevolent idiot.
Ah ok... well idk I don't watch previews so I didn't take that into account. What I do know is FSG's bro on the throne would be a unsatisfactory ending for me.
He claims he never meant to harm FSG. I believe that. But as I posted earlier on, he chose his alias Meng Junran for a reason. It is a word play that means among other things fierce, capable leader but also a wise and benevolent one. FSG's brother would be none of the above and if someone doesn't topple him in a heartbeat, Jinxiu will conquer them.
