I have different view from user u1014, while I agree that’s probably the author intention when writing the FL, but I personally find her lack in personality and just cringe most of the time. In the novel, I feel like ML does all the work [figuratively] - and since the ML is also not sincere in marrying her [not out of love or attraction] so I supposed I dont pity the ML so much. anyway I enjoyed their friendship story a lot in the novel.

on the contrary, BSE played the FL character amazingly and I dont find the FL in the drama as cringe as the FL in the novel.
