Forever and Ever was actually filmed before One and Only. But I think it would be much more torturous to watch…
Ikr, the way they're so awkward around each other is so adorkable! But from the trailer it looks like they'll become much closer and each other's solace and support to tough through all that drama...
Well reincarnation plot is censored in China but the screenwriter cleverly modified it to FL being a dubbing actress…
They haven't even confirmed the cast, let alone start filming. I think we gonna have to wait at least 2 years given that it normally takes 1 year to edit and dub...
Im really loving this drama. the first one made me cry a lot but so far i prefere this drama to the first.
Forever and Ever was actually filmed before One and Only. But I think it would be much more torturous to watch the OaO first given its ending. FaE is gonna be quite a rollercoaster but at least we know what awaits at the end of the dark tunnel...
I just realized in this modern version the name of shiyi not include her surname "Cui" again in historical drama…
Yeah there are so many lightbulb moments in this sequel that it's like a treasure hunt LOL. It took me 100 rewatches of OaO's ending to realise why "Cui" got taken out. At first I literally thought they changed her name cause of the reincarnation censorship thing cause Zhou Sheng Chen also became "Zhousheng Chen"...
8 eps in and we start to see some of the ugliness creeping up. Zhou Sheng Chen's "mother" is like the mother-in-law version of Ursula who keeps threatening our leads' small bubble of happiness. Except it's not like they'll get married anytime soon given what ep 10 preview is hinting. It's so hard for us to get some happy time so I'm gonna ignore the drama for now and just savour whatever bliss we can get from our couple until the storm actually comes...
But I'm a bit conflicted about the brother though. While he has major villain vibe, I also feel bad for him not being able to be with the one he likes and have to marry someone who's in love with someone else, a bit like Shi Yi's past brother Cui Feng.
Should I be watching the prequel first or is it watchable without it?
The answer is you "can" just watch this by itself but you wouldn't be able to appreciate the characters and historical references as much without watching the prequel.
It depends on personal preference really. But all the die-hard fans here will recommend you watch One and Only first cause it's a masterpiece! 😉
After 6 eps, the drama is cute and has fun situations. I guess it will be more intense in the forthcoming eps.…
Yeah I guess the screenwriter already tried to include heaps of references from One and Only for viewers to piece together. It kind of makes it more interesting for those who have read the novel as well since there are slight changes here and there but the essence of the leads' relationship and plot is still there...

And yes, less than 20 mins until we get our daily happy pill! 😆😆😆
It's not in this drama but I really want to try that massive instant hot pot thing 😋
