yeah for sure, can't believe that!!! hope Shiyi trusts Zhousheng whatever plot this girl will create!!
I've got a feeling that the brother is also behind that mob fight and the embezzlement cause we all know that there's no way he's their for his "wife"... π€§
I fell in love with this MV ever since the kiss scene! It highlights their awkward and adorkable relationship so well πππ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqsUBOuwiwI
Forever and Ever was actually filmed before One and Only. But I think it would be much more torturous to watch…
Yeah the grandma totally rocks! The people in ZSC's family that I actually like can be counted on one hand LOL, the rest are just toxic. If this is their first lives, I would totally be against Shi Yi marrying into ZSC's family too tbh...
Well reincarnation plot is censored in China but the screenwriter cleverly modified it to FL being a dubbing actress…
Hahahahaha I would've imagined. I haven't read any Chinese novels but I probably will start to get into them when I have more free time... π
Btw I also grew up watching HK dramas as well, I love TVB! OMG your watchlist has so many interesting C-dramas that I want to watch like Cross Fire and Winter Begonia π

Wow you've been around the block. Actually I just recall that Love Better Than Immortality also has the the sci-fi / historical time travelling concept. Tbh I'm not mad about sci-fi stuffs so I just pretended that it's a typical time-travelling plot when I was watching Joy of Life lol...
Hey!!D o you know why the Douban rating is not good??And why people are giving it 1 and 2 stars despite the number…
I don't know but Douban often gets flooded with antis, fan wars or dissatisfied fans of the novel so I'm not surprised. There are heaps of good C-dramas that suffer bad Douban ratings because of those reasons like Falling Into Your Smile while others made it back to the top like The Untamed. I guess just wait a few more days for the good reviews to bury the bad ones.
I guess there might be one for the novel but I haven't seen any. So far Zhou Sheng Chen's family only focuses…
Yeah, the sister-in-law Jia Ren likes ZSC but it's a bit complicated. I think she's also jealous of ZSC's intellect because people keep saying how ZSC skipped a whole bunch of grades and finished schooling much earlier than her. Further, she's probably also after the family head's wife position since ZSC is the oldest son whereas his younger brother would forever be in his shadow.
I guess the seamstress Wang Man grew up with the younger brother Wen Chuan so they are probably childhood sweethearts but Wen Chuan had to marry Jia Ren to win his mother's support and compete with ZSC.
As for the stepmother, she's prejudiced against ZSC since he's not blood related to her and plus she wants to endorse her own son Wen Chuan to become the future family head rather than ZSC. The power struggle will probably get a lot deeper and nastier than that later on though. Also, in ep 10, we get to know that ZSC's birth mother and stepmother are somewhat distant relatives. ZSC's father loves ZSC's birth mother and actually cut ties with his family to marry her. But she died so he had to marry the stepmother in order to get his family to support ZSC and let him be the family's next heir. ZSC's grandmother is actually the stepmom's mother but she still treated ZSC's birth mother like her own daughter and was distraught that the stepmom would take advantage of her death to get marry to ZSC's father.
Anyway, it's one messed up family if you ask me...

Yeah, none of this mess is his fault cause some of the people in his family just relish in making everyone's life miserable.
As for Shi Yi's family, I was a bit upset with them at first for putting all the blame on ZSC but now looking back it's justifiable. Technically, who would want to marry their daughter / niece into a messed up family like that. Unlike us who have seen OaO, they probably find Shi Yi's deep attachment to ZSC as odd and can't really sympathise with her...
Anyway, like Allen said in the interview, the modern ZSC experiences way too much pain. My heart aches that they have to go through all that drama but I guess they'll at least find some closure and happiness this time, unlike the tragedy in OaO...
