Yeah the grandma totally rocks! The people in ZSC's family that I actually like can be counted on one hand LOL, the rest are just toxic. If this is their first lives, I would totally be against Shi Yi marrying into ZSC's family too tbh...

Wow you've been around the block. Actually I just recall that Love Better Than Immortality also has the the sci-fi / historical time travelling concept. Tbh I'm not mad about sci-fi stuffs so I just pretended that it's a typical time-travelling plot when I was watching Joy of Life lol...

Yeah, how I wish they just would elope to Germany, get married and live peacefully there, away from all this drama...

I don't know but Douban often gets flooded with antis, fan wars or dissatisfied fans of the novel so I'm not surprised. There are heaps of good C-dramas that suffer bad Douban ratings because of those reasons like Falling Into Your Smile while others made it back to the top like The Untamed. I guess just wait a few more days for the good reviews to bury the bad ones.
