I find that thought commendable and extremely scary at the same time. But then again I can't really argue cause I'm also rewatching One and Only again and again.

Another interesting thought: Would it be better to watch different tragic endings and experience heartbreak in multiple ways or rewatch the same tragic ending and know that it'll break your heart in the same way but multiple times? 😏

Nah just watch One and Only, the reincarnation hints are so obvious though and you got the whole comment section here to keep you well informed. Plus, you need to suffer first before tasting real sweetness 😉

Yeah I don't know why reincarnation and time travel are censored either but I guess it does make screenwriters come up with really creative ways to "infer" it anyway. Don't know how The Untamed made it pass censorship but Joy of Life had to invent the historical settings by travelling into the "future" LOL.

After rewatching One and Only's ending for the 100th time, I just realised that the modern Shi Yi is not "Cui Shi Yi" because she gave up her family name "Cui" to just be "Eleven [Shi Yi] of the Nanchen Royal Mansion". Am I reading too far into this?

Well reincarnation plot is censored in China but the screenwriter cleverly modified it to FL being a dubbing actress for One and Only and dropped a whole heap of references from One and Only throughout the drama to let viewers connect the dots on their own...

Yep it's the sequel of One and Only, where the leads "reincarnate" and fall in love again. Technically you can watch this as a standalone but it's preferred to watch it after One and Only cause you'll appreciate the leads' relationship and historical references much more.

Also, One and Only is breathtakingly beautiful and only 24 eps long, which is kind of rare for historical C-dramas as they tend to be 40+ eps...
