It is good that many are watching TPR even after the negative comments. I adored Ling He as PWX. It is too bad…
True..i recently watched TPR for ZLH...He is very versatile actor and brings every character to life...his expressions and dealing with every character he has played has been different as required than having one way of acting and sticking to that..
Plot is good. Good pacing. Actors have acted excellently especially Zhang Ling He. The director has really let down the actors. He has failed to capture the necessary emotions and botched up the ending. A case of Good plot, screenwriting, and acting saving a bad direction.
ep 28 - ahhh the classic stupid King who couldn’t control his d***
This even i felt the same..how can a King be this powerless..and he was pretentious..he wanted the Yan family troops but did not want to punish his uncle who was actually involved in crimes which he knew.. The king was irritating
I like FL in the beginning but half way through this drama, oh my God, she got into my nerves around ep 20-22…
It was accidental as per plot, she was in the prison to send off Yan Lin and the rebel attack happened at the same time.. And she always had soft spot for ZZ, she felt she owed him for what she had done in her "previous life", so she stands in front of him to protect him.. Compared to a lot of C-dramas where the FL does foolish things and gets involved in traps and spoils the plot, this drama was somewhat coherent and didnt give a foolish FL (foolishness happens in the end)
Overall the plot is actually good..it has a details and suspense.. Acting is superb..everyone has done an amazing work with whatever material they have been given... But the storytelling is horrible..WORST STORYTELLING...bad writing has let everyone involved in the drama down
Finished rewatching in like three days loveeee it although i rewatched it a couple of times i cant get over how…
It is there in his micro-expressions..i guess he started having a soft spot from around ep4 where she covers for him at the banquet and also risks her life for the war report..she seems to be growing on him slowly...i guess the 1st time he realises it himself is when his powers are locked for sometime and she is swaying sleepily and he smiles and suddenly stops as if checking himself...
not totally, i didnt like that wei liang, and QD had to die, kinda dampened the happy ending a bit for me. I mean…
It was still acceptable as there was a link of those to the plot..like it is because of WL that WQ goes to Kanjun and also rescues the prefect and Kangjun doesn't join the battle at Painyi...and it is because of QD's death that BiZhi stops fighting for the bad guys.. They were not meaningless/avoidable deaths (I am clarifying my perspective, others are free to intepret it as they see right)
