See, I'm really enjoying this couple. They're very clearly learning about what it means to be in love, and they expect to make some mistakes (like hacking into the birthday party celebration), but they also know they have something really special and are willing to work hard to protect it, and to learn how to trust and communicate. There have been opportunities for misunderstandings and noble idiocy all over the place, and these two keep ploughing right through them. This shouldn't be such a novelty, but it is!
I just finished 12. I think I’m going to put this drama on hold. I worry that FL’s 2 roommates will cause…
It only has machine subs (last I heard) and it has some of the most obnoxious, triggering family members I’ve ever seen, so that might put people off. But it also has one of the best, strongest main couples I’ve ever seen, the acting is good, and I found the storyline very addictive.

I’m not putting it on hold yet, and I’m still liking both leads, but yes, this aspect isn’t promising and seems out of place and cheap given the overall tone of the drama.
This series will for sure become one of my guilty pleasures....It's one of those cases where it knows it has a…
That was really, really well put, thank you. You articulated for me my reaction as of Ep. 2—I’m enjoying it a lot so far, but the burden of the suspension of disbelief is huge and may become too much.
My sense is that the attire is real. The first building she enters seems to be a changing area, and in one shot you see a bunch of western style jackets hanging on a rod.
If I were overly bothered by tropes I wouldn’t watch Cdramas, but man, this one seems determined to fill in the bingo card as quickly as possible.
Whew. That was quite the experience. Definitely recommend this to future viewers. It’s so well acted, funny, infuriating, sweet, maddening. Worth all the frustration, for sure.
Thanks to all of you watching it as it aired! It was so therapeutic to have people with whom to vent and share hopes!
Gods of subbing, if you’re listening, this would definitely be worth doing real subs for!
Seriously, who introduces drama in the second to last episode? Let's hope it like the going to Africa episode…
Chinese dramas, that’s who. That’s why I’m always twitchy about recommending them when they’re still airing—they’re genius at totally ruining everything at the last minute. But hopefully this will keep going strong …
LOL just realized the drama ends in 4 episodes...wow the happy ending starts when the brother fixes his problems…
Yeah, I was starting to think his redemption arc was going to happen from a jail cell or his deathbed (haven’t seen the previews so far so for all I know that might actually be the case).
One part that has been really enjoyable about this drama for sure is that its not very cliché imo in the way…
That’s a really good point. The main couple is the main attraction of this series for me, but I don’t think I’d be nearly as addicted if it weren’t for the wild, wild ride everyone else is taking us on’
I am so proud of the FL for making the difficult decision but one that needed to be made. Ep 35 and 36 were by…
Yesss! I was just on pins and needles during the dinner with her dad, afraid she would cave once more to his LITERALLY INSANE request. I was so happy she finally stood up for herself!
At this point I can't comprehend how they will be able to redeem the brother, father, and ex-brother in law in…
I could see how the father might. He’s certainly getting more supportive of his daughters and more wary of his son, even though he still caves to his demands. The brother, though …how can anything get through to someone who always sees himself as the victim?
Rewatching a few scenes here and there, I have to say, amidst all the incredible toxicity, this couple is just a shining example, one of my favorites in cdramaland to date (and between Meeting You and Qing Qing Zi Jing there’s been some pretty stiff competition lately) . They fit together so beautifully: she’s received far too little love, and he’s received too much, in a controlling and manipulative form. She’s so grateful for the way he genuinely treasures her, and he’s so proud of her and wants so badly to care for and pamper her. Add to that that they’re such fundamentally good people…I mean, insert the standard unfinished Cdrama disclaimer here, maybe the makers of the drama will find a way to ruin everything, but right now I just love them so much.
Omg! I'm so hooked. Can't wait for the next episode even if it doesn't have any subtitles yet. ? Does anybody…
Welcome, fellow addict :)! Where are you watching it now? The Mango app will give you an additional 15 minutes or so of whatever’s been posted on YouTube. You don’t need a subscription but there are no subs. Just be aware that that portion will then be repeated at the beginning of tomorrow’s YouTube episode. This is all for the US; it might work differently in other countries. But the airing schedule is literally an airing schedule; the release of each episode won’t happen until it’s been aired on TV in China—at least that’s my understanding.
Forget that! He is back with a vengeance in the next ep and he is still a little shit! The show is almost over…
Wow, he is such a bottomless pit of selfishness. Even Miss Homewrecker has more redeeming qualities. They better start the arc soon if they want it to be remotely believable.
