Wow, I see what you mean. She took her faults fully to heart, which is good, it needed to happen—but she’s in so much pain and the really guilty party is as shameless as ever.

It also occurs to me that none of her accusations would hold the least bit of water if not for the mom publicly enacting her fantasy about her being her son’s girlfriend. I wonder if she’ll acknowledge that.

I *think* I’m watching both. It’s a bit confusing, actually. I’m alternating between the raws on Duboku, the subs on YouTube, and the raws on the Mango app, depending on what time of day it is. I think the first two are the DVD version and the last is the TV? So at this moment the Mango app has an episode that goes further than anything else, but at least in the US Duboku has stuff up before anywhere else. Does that make any sense? Is it way more than info than you wanted? :)

Man, was that ever a satisfying scene! Might have to go watch it a fourth time :) …

Yes, especially in 25, and also scenes of our hero standing up for his girl. But I know what you mean. I’m really ready for Homewrecker’s arc to come to a crashing end.

Every time I see the main couple on screen I feel warm and happy. And then Miss Homewrecker shows up and my adrenaline and cortisol shoot up. This can’t be good for my health.

I’m enjoying the plot so far. We’re learning a lot about the characters through it—it doesn’t seem to just be intrigue for intrigue’s sake (my two cents).

What are the odds that’s not even her father?

This storyline is killing me. Stay strong, main leads! You’re up against a real monster.

The mother may be certifiable when it comes to her own family, but she’s been spot on about every one else. I loved how quickly she saw through Little Miss Homewrecker, and she’s been right since day 1 about the brother. It’s just that her solution is always to completely cut out anyone who might hurt you, and her definition of who might hurt her is anyone she can’t 100% control.

I think you’re right about why FL’s previous relationships failed, and that she’s keeping it to herself out of respect for her parents.

I’m really happy that thus far all the stress has been coming from outside of the main couple’s relationship and that so far they’ve only gotten stronger in the face of it. I hope it continues to be the case. I think you’re right that our ML will resist Little Miss Homewrecker’s tricks and I’m hoping he’ll put her firmly in her place. Every episode there’s a new candidate for “person I most want to strangle,” and right now she’s it.

It’s kind of a guilty pleasure at this point—I don’t like angst or messy endings and the potential for both seems high, so I keep telling myself I need to wait until it’s finished to decide whether to watch it. And after that excellent advice I let myself watch one more episode and then another …Anyway, it’s fast-paced, interesting, and well acted so far (episode 7)!

Absolute kudos to the actors. I’ve caught a few episodes of Twisted Fate of Love and I just can’t believe the brother here is the same guy as the prince there. Am I getting that right even?

Erm, I’m crushing on him from all the angles :). Can’t tell if it’s the actor or the character, but he’s quickly becoming one of my favorites.

I will say, our frustration with the family members is probably a big part of why we find the leads’ relationship so satisfying and why we’re so invested in them getting the happiness and support they’ve been denied for so long. Not sure that thought will get me through all the crazy-making scenes, though …

Episode 21 thoughts:

*Could our main couple be any more adorable? I just love how happy they’re making each other. I’m grinning like an absolute idiot through all their scenes.

*At the start of the episode the mom & son are practically wearing couple outfits. Ack. But then on the date ML and FL are both wearing pink & blue. Whew.

*The mom continues to be just horrible, horrible. But they’re both holding their own against her and her efforts are really just helping them bond. I really feel that if they can just get her on board it will work out beautifully; they both have jobs that would require 24/7 childcare and she’d be perfect, especially if she gets back with the Dean so he can take the obsessive edge off…

*Go, Baby Pilot! Standing up for his mentor even when it would probably benefit him to hurt their relationship! I’m so proud.

*Meanwhile, BIL has moved to the top of the list of people I want to punch. Spending like crazy out of pure ego while his wife is selling off her stuff—and that’s not even counting the actual urge to cheat.

That was a heck of a satisfying episode. The kiss was awesome, I loved his adorable reaction to it when he thought about it later, and their attempt to hold hands was cute, cute, cute.

And BeiBei laying down the law! Thank goodness. I hope she doesn’t cave. I feel like she’s his last chance to become a functional human being. Also her last chance to avoid becoming a victim of domestic violence, since you know he won’t stop with his sister unless he has a real conversion.

Now it’s the BIL thread that’s driving me up the wall. It’s kind of funny what an idiot he’s being but I don’t think I can handle it if he actually cheats.

I’m addicted to it. I’m getting super invested in the main couple and I definitely enjoy their interactions. But am I enjoying the whole show? Not exactly, and I skipped some of the early parts with the brother. Now I’m afraid of missing something, so I stopped skipping but as a result spend a lot of time gnashing my teeth. It’s definitely very effective writing and acting—I think your enjoyment of it will hinge on how you handle portrayals of very toxic family members :). In my case it makes me think my own aren’t so bad, but it may hit closer to home for some.

No lie, that was one of the best fight scenes (okay, if you can call it that) I’ve ever seen! He was so calm and efficient, just doing the bare minimum of violence to get the job done. 真的挺帅, indeed!

Yes, I watched it raw. :( I really hope they sub it soon!
