I’m really tempted by Poisoned Love but I’m trying really hard to have some self discipline and not start anything new until I finish something old…Definitely going to move it up the list.

That’s smart. I’m hurting right now because I’m so tempted to watch the raws, but I know my Mandarin isn’t good enough for this level of dialogue. If you watch it, though, I’d love to hear your opinion because we seem to have very similar tastes :).

I haven’t finished either of them, but for cozy and low-angst, you might try Love in Time, and I’m also getting obsessed with Miss Gu Who is Silent, which is a lot darker and doesn’t focus on romance as much, but so far at least, it’s amazingly well done.

Good to hear! I’m really fighting the urge to binge the raws, but I’m pretty sure I’d miss some important details. I might DM you on Monday, though, if you’re still in the mood to chat about it!

Of course I should be leery of recommending unfinished Cdramas as they are genius at ruining everything in the last 5 minutes:(. So maybe I should contain my enthusiasm until I’ve seen the whole thing …

No, I just finished 14. I can do rom-coms raw, but my Mandarin isn’t good enough for something with this much wit and this many twists. But the suspense! Have you finished it?

Yes! It’s really keeping me guessing. And I feel like grabbing random strangers and telling them to watch it!

There’s definite chemistry between the leads but there’s much, much more going on. I’m satisfied with the romantic tension so far but I wouldn’t describe it as romance heavy, at least as of the start of Ep. 8.

This is really good so far …I feel like it should be getting more attention. It’s not my usual fare, but it’s very smart and very addictive.

Yikes. Trigger warning midway through Ep. 7 for those of us with ophidiophobia…

Bothers me too. I get that she’s kind, inexperienced, and maybe socially challenged, but there are a few scenes where actual physical self-defense is warranted!

Spent a bout of insomnia last night watching the first two episodes, and it’s off to a good, well-paced start. ML has some serious smirking skills. I like that although he’s doing the “cold CEO” thing, he hasn’t locked his face into just one expression. I really like the part where she’s imagining scenes in her novel; hope they’ll have more of that.

My people! I’m watching these as well (and I’m loving FoE, even though I don’t watch many k-dramas these days). @Vi Dao, I agree about the whole cast being so appealing. In some dramas I find my interest waning when the story strays from the main pair; with this one I feel like a friend has entered the room every time one of the secondary characters shows up.

Least believable thing about this drama? That anyone would ever be able to be mean to our sweet little Wen Ren Juan.

Yes. Full disclosure, my Mandarin isn’t all that and I may be missing some subtle redeeming aspect of his personality, but I doubt it :).

I saw that, maybe in the intro or something? And I feel pretty bad for her. I hope she takes him down many, many notches first.

…of course I’m tempted to say that if the trailer is accurate, no one is going to need subtitles:).
