I think Makjangs are there to frustrate and annoy people yet intense and addicting. Episode 4 was good and I got unexpected plotwist. i think Oh Yoon Hee is the dumbest character here. No change since season 1. I just wonder why Logan entrusted her with such a task which was dangerous and demanding. I knew the moment when she started to spend money in the open without a back-up plan creating suspicion, speculation and even greed. Now people are out for her coveting the 10 billion dollars. That a side, why the heck would she tell her enemy of the secrets which are threatening enough to take her life knowing full well what Joo Dan Tae is capable of? And this car chase while calling Eunbyeol, what was that??? And why did she drive off the highway??? And instead of opening that stupid beauty shop in Hera palace which has brought nothing but unnecessary attention, she would have bought trained, elite people to do the digging secretly or create a spy organization which can track Joo Dan Tae and other people. Since Logan left, the show is draggy and Shim Suryeon is dormant compared to the two previous seasons. As for Cheon Seon Jin, I don't expect much, the same goes for Ha Yoon Chul and Seokkyung .
The real JDT is my new crush in penthouse. The way he was toying with fake JDT. I knew I could trust my girl oh…
I'm resisting the urge but I may betray Logan for real Joo Dan Tae. The way he beat up the fake Joo Dan Tae in the middle of the night was satisfying. He's the only guy who can beat Mr BEAK to a pulp. Alex's character at this point has no purpose in this storyline
At this moment, instead of repeating, the twin of the character died in their stead trope, a secret organization in this season supporting the real Joo Dan Tae. Alex's character has lost purpose although I loved Logan so much.
Again after putting my hope in Penthouse 3, I think this third episode is the BEST so far. This feels like Penthouse. Baek Jun Ki was the star of this episode. I love how Rona comforted Jenny and how Jenny retorted back to that stupid and sick Joo Seokkyung. I love how Sook Hoon is there for Shim Suryeon. I don't know why but Shim Suryeon's character has weakened compared to the last two seasons. It's out of character for her to not lock her room knowing full well Seokkyung was scheming with her Dad who happens to be her mortal enemy and even after expelling Seokkyung out of school. That was so out of character. The Shim Suryeon I know was a head of everyone else. Yoon Hee is playing in troubled waters, I don't know what she benefits from digging the mystery between Hye In, her birth mother and Shim Suryeon's past while spending money conspicuously. Did Logan know by telling her this, this will lead her to the digging game. I just hope no one dies by her actions.
I share the same feelings with this YouTuber but after watching season 1 and 2, I sat down and thought how could…
I'm rewatching the last empress and I loved it although it seemed to have lost it's quality at the end. I hear people compare penthouse to sky castle and some say skycastle has a better plot. I don't know if you have watched it.
Lol, this girl articulately explains how I exactly feel about this drama. It's nonsensical and bad, but that is…
I share the same feelings with this YouTuber but after watching season 1 and 2, I sat down and thought how could someone write down such a story. It's not only nonsensical but while watching it, one's emotions are provoked in such a way that if they are not careful, there are possible accidents like fainting or even a heartattack. I lost my sleep at night after I watched an episode where Yoon Hee betrayed Shim Suryeon in season 1. I was like NO WAY THIS WAS HAPPENING. I was in my bed just thinking about that
No, it’s not racist at all.You are the problem if you can’t watch a show without prejudice and pointing out…
I just realised your comments have double standards. You said " how is embracing and learning other cultures wrong?" And then you said " you want to censor fashion and individual expression? " waaaw. Then you go " how is shouting, tatooing is related to some culture?" And then you said " they adapted things from another culture" Then asked if it's not African-American, then what culture was that, then you diverted me by saying it's fashion and individual expression and asked who said it was some culture. Rastafarian was a question not an affirmation. you didn't say all all rappers should look like Alex but why is it a rapper from America? You explained how it wasn't CA by bringing unnecessary history lessons . Why the need to explain? You should have simply said freedom of fashion and expression in the first place. You really found it cool as you are calling it fashion. hahahaha oohh my God. Anyways I have been reading your comments and you have been attacking people who don't agree with you as UNEDUCATED, IGNORANT AND WHO DON'T HAVE DEEP KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE SUBJECT TO COMPEL THEM TO BELIEVE WHAT YOU THINK IS RIGHT but that won't work on me. Save your racism definitions. As a person of color I know what racism is by experience not just by words. STAND BY MY INITIAL COMMENT AND YOU CAN'T COMPEL ME TO BELIEVE OTHERWISE. However you are free to disagree. Afterall it's a comment section. I'm done with you since you are two faced. Au revoir.
For the people who are calling anyone with different opinions racist, uneducated and ignorant, here is some clarification.Although…
I think this is beyond discussion. People are insulting each other pointing fingers on who is RACIST, IGNORANT AND UN EDUCATED. The scene doesn't need serious research neither does it require someone who went to school or who knows the subject in depths to understand what was going on
No, it’s not racist at all.You are the problem if you can’t watch a show without prejudice and pointing out…
Your whole comment is VAGUE. My point wasn't that that the character did CA. Read my comment properly but HOW HE PORTRAYED A CERTAIN CULTURE. it's like you didn't understand what that scene implied since you found it cool how on Alex was shouting, cursing, adorning tatoos everywhere even in his face. Plus the way he talked, throwing things and asking about his brother's billion dollars . And tell me which DAMN CULTURE did they really portray in this manner without any diginity? Rastafarian you say? I would have known right away if it was Rastafarian. And what FACTS are you reffering to? I don't get you. I stated my own reasons why it was RACIST but you keep on saying there's nothing wrong to embrace another culture. Who said it was wrong to learn and embrace any CULTURE? ?????? THE WAY HE CAME OFF WAS WRONG. It was uncomfortable. PORTRAY A CULTURE PROPERLY. AND WHO TOLD YOU EVERY RAPPER FROM AMERICA SHOULD BE LIKE ALEX???? I WON'T STOP POINTING IT OUT FOR FEAR I WOULD BE LABELLED A RACIST as you are saying now. Keep the FACTS TO YOURSELF and let other people adress how they feel about the matter. YOU SAID WE HAVE A PRE DESCRIBED NOTION ON HOW SOMEONE SHOULD BEHAVE IS RACIST???!!! I think that remark should go to the writer who thought every African American should shout, curse, chain himself and have tatoos everywhere even in his face. I don't need any FACTS as it's solely my opinion and how I felt which isn't wrong to express or to point out.
Despite of everything, I will still continue to watch the show now that Alex or Logan? are still in Penthouse and see what he's plotting with Oh Yoon Hee
You are just assuming that he is trying to imitate the stereotype of black people, although nearly every other…
Again someone trying to shut people's mouth and say that there was nothing wrong with the character. Whatever people are saying, they are free to say it if it doesn't sit with them. This comment section won't be filled with comments which agree with your point of view sadly. I wonder what you are trying to prove. Are you saying people shouldn't talk about it? Are you forcing people to accept what you think is right? Or Are you saying people shouldn't comment how OFFENSIVE AND RACIST it was here on MDL platform? The way you write your replies imply people should just shut up and enjoy the show even when deep down we know IT'S NOT OKEY.
Using a certain culture isn't the problem but how the writer uses that culture or how he or she depicts a race…
We are not talking about where the style was invented, infact that's off topic but which group of people are popularly known with this style. Of course like you said, some people loved it as aesthetic and others laughed while associating it with the N word. To me it was utter insult and I have reasons why I felt that way. And let me say this, not every rapper adorns himself like Alex. As for you when you saw Alex, you saw a rapper but for me with the exaggeration thuggery, I saw African American thugs. Me pointing out what I felt or what I analysed doesn't label me as someone who is pointing out that All of us Africans are THUGS. The style it's self speaks volumes for those who understood crystal clear what group was depicted. That's why we are offended because we know clearly well that we don't live as Alex or we don't wear Bling Bling for us to be seen that we are African-Americans. Again Each to his opnion. Don't go on rampage pointing fingers and accusing people who don't agree with you. Not everybody saw a rapper in Alex and not everybody will laugh it off and leave it un addressed.
