I think you are twisting words here. My comment was clearly written in the simplest words possible. The way this CA was shown is what's problematic. I'm not saying Alex Lee shouldn't adorn himself with whatever he likes but the way he came off is what's problematic . Be honest with me. When Alex first appeared, what was the first image that came in your mind? Was it an italian? Don't say it was Jamaican or something. Many elemnts pointed out clearly what group of people are depicted in the scene , some people only saw dreads but it wasn't just his hairstyle. I bet the first image that came in your mind was an African American THUG. ARE AFRICAN AMERICAN THUGS CONSIDERED PEOPLE WHO ARE ACCEPTED IN SOCIETY POSITIVELY? NO. And to emphasize that they were pointing out a certain group of people, Alex came with BLACK BODY GUARDS. I MEAN BLACK. NO MIXED BLOOD. This shouldn't have been a problem if he came in another African-American style which brings out positive impact. If he did, I would have clapped and be proud but Hey they guy reminded me of LIL WAYNE the moment I laid my eyes on him. I won't talk about how cultures evolved historically as I'm not interested to know how it came to be but I'm pointing what I saw in Alex character. As an African my self who lives in Europe, I know what we black people go through. I don't know why you are finding my comment an insult to my own race but at least that's how I processed Alex and it's the truth. That's why we found it insulting because we know very well no race adapts this style other than us. There's even a video on YouTube where they put Alex aside with some black guy with dreads. Why do you think they put a black guy aside him and not an Asian or an European ??? Anyway, each to his opinion. To some people, it was humorous, to others, it was aesthetic but to me, it was insulting. It's you who is basically insulting people and accusing them just because they don't have the same opinion as you and you just want people to shut their mouths. This MDL comment section doesn't belong to you and everybody like you has every right to comment how they felt about the character either negatively or positively regardless of what they know about this style.

CA should be used in a positive way especially on these medias. It's sensitive. For people who don't know any better would think all black people don't wash their hair and have flies as their company. Any culture or race when portrayed should be used positively to avoid controversies although the writer might have aimed for humour or aesthetics.

Using a certain culture isn't the problem but how the writer uses that culture or how he or she depicts a race of people who own that culture is what is problematic. Alex liking African-American style isn't a problem but the way he portrays it is what is problematic ( Dreads, tatoos, talking loudly,cursing, chaining himself etc) There many African-American styles the writer could have used but an African-American THUG is unpleasant and uncomfortable. For anyone who doesn't know better would think all African Americans are THUGS. The same thing happened in ep 1 of season 2. The guys who broke Ha yoon Chul's hands happened to be black people which didn't sit well with me but in this episode, it's too conspicuous for all to see.

If Alex is Logan lee and Logan gave Yoon Hee acess to his money, then why on earth is he confronting Shim Suryeon about himself and the money which the poor lady doesn't know about? Isn't that harsh?

Okey Penthouse without Logan was like an empty shell to me but Why the HECK did the writter introduce Alex Lee??? And in such a manner??? Like what the fuck did I just watch? Okay. How did Alex Lee who grew up in an Asian strict family adapt such a life style??? The life style of BLACK AMERICAN THUGS. It was disturbing to watch. The character portrays all the traits of Black American Thugs who live off of stealing, murder, robbing banks and the like.Is it RACIST? YES IT IS. Not all black people live like THUGS as it is portrayed here. The idea of bringing up such character in this season isn't brilliant at all. It brings us to question why such a family brought it's self trouble by involving themselves with Min Seol A when they had someone who could have saved Logan Lee's life. Okay the writer wants to keep the spice and the hype we had with Logan but this will come off repeatedly and it's no fun neither does it keep us curious. Now it's certain Logan is alive as Alex Lee.

Another kdrama which tells this very story but in more depth and without the fantasy element is " King Gwanggaetto the great" which is long beacuse all the conquests and wars are shown in great detail.

I'm watching Penthouse but I think we will get a closure like one we got in Empress Ki where the lead ends up with nobody like bittersweet because we see many men eyeing her. A similar ending like in the last empress. I haven't watched the world of the married but heavy dramas need a nice closure given the ride we go through as viewers

One of the best Sageuks I happened to stumble on by chance and I was surprised how in the world I didn't know about it. My favourite character was Cheok Sa Gwang. I loved her because she kicked asses when she's a lady. She was legendary.

Hao Yi Xing is a good name and it matches the context since the original story involves rebirth, revival and reincarnation. So I hope they don't change it.

For me it doesn't disturb me since they aren't blood related and what could have made this relationship forbidden is gone. My fear is for the writer to revive Min Seol A or get another actor to act as Logan and then kill him off at the end like how she did in the last empress

I have watched that scene multiple times and I can't get a clear view of who it is.

I hope it's not the case here. I already got that ridiculous ending in the last empress. The show was good all throughout only to get ruined at the end. I hope she doesn't get greedy for ratings only to RUIN the whole product

I wonder who is the Protoganist of this show and who will be the ultimate winner at the end of all this MESS. Who will get the happy ending ? I feel like we will get an ending like in Empress Ki where Su Ryeon ends up with nobody. By the way, the very first scene of this season looks exactly like the first scene in first season.

That scene is played at the very beginning of this season but the setting was a bit different now that we see those roof top statues getting crashed and fall all the way and pass through and crash that glass exactly as Min Seol A yet this time we see a guy who has just fallen near the crashed fountain statue and in water. I wonder who he is but he looks like Joo Dan Tae or Ha Yoon Chul. It's one of those two.

I find it TOXIC because it's like SookHoon has to stick with his twin sister and meet her every demand or solve her every problem for the rest of her life. It's like SookHoon won't have a life of his own with his twin sister in existence. For Soek Kyung, her brother is her world and her shelter yet Sook Hoon is starting now to shape his life individually. I get that they got an abusive father and that has brought an impact psychologically but that's mother's role to help Sook Kyung to get some therapy and for her to understand that happiness and protection can be got individually and morally too and that she can do what makes her happy. I remember a scene when some guy told Bae Rona that the whole school knows that SookHoon can't have a girlfriend without his twin sister's permission like what the heck was that??????!!!!! Even the way she got her grades was disturbing to watch. Sook Hoon is the same age as her and his thinking capacity on how to help his little sibling has a limit. Him too thinks that's far he can help.
