Ya the criticism is overboard. I initially also had to adjust but after a few episodes it's a non issue,as wallace is a good actor. It's part of diversity. There are also lots of Chinese actors with a strong Shanghainese or Dongbei slang receiving no criticism. HK supposed to be part of china. Then c-netizens should also embrace mandarin with a Cantonese slang.

Today's episodes were so frustrating with the FL almost revealing the truth to the ML but getting cut off by others twice. Can't wait for tomorrow's episodes.

You have a point that they deliberately left his hair unruly to make his character more credible.

The first time hearing Wallace's real voice in a Cdrama. He has a strong Cantonese slang but appreciate that the production team chose to embrace diversity instead of dubbing. The show is so far so good. I've one superficial complain about Wallace's hair. It really needs a haircut. It's our of shape.

It's not fantastic but also not bad either. Acting is fine. The reason why it's not fantastic is because of its script, editing and pacing. At ep 4 and I'm still not feeling the chemistry between the MLs while both have already fallen for each other.... The OTS by Zhou Shen is nice though.

Hahaha nice comparison. I'm now having an mental image of Liu Qing spitting blood every time Wan Qing misunderstands him.
